It is recommended to stay in Shangri-La Town, where the altitude is relatively lower, and food and lodging are more affordable, about 5 kilometers away from the scenic area. ✏️ Practical Tips: Yading Route Selection Due to the large size of the scenic area, travel routes are generally divided into long and short routes. It might not be possible to visit the entire area in one day, so you can use your ticket to enter directly the next day without having to buy another one!! Long Route: Chonggu Temple - Chonggu Meadow - Luorong Pasture - Milk Lake (super photogenic) - Five-Color Lake (even more beautiful on sunny days!); The long route is a round-trip hike of 10 kilometers, taking about 6-7 hours. Short Route: Chonggu Temple - Chonggu Meadow - Pearl Lake (the best spot for shooting Xiannairi); The short route is a round-trip hike of 3 kilometers, taking about 2-3 hours. The full long route can be quite strenuous, so everyone should proceed according to their own abilities. If you're worried about altitude sickness, it's advisable to take Rhodiola rosea in advance, and prepare headache powder, ibuprofen, glucose, and other medications, as well as a portable oxygen canister.
