When the southern Yunnan sunset dyes the sky amber, the seventeen-arch stone bridge stretches out like an open jade comb, gently gliding over the mirror-like confluence of the Lu River and Tachong River. The flying eaves of the three-tiered pavilion on Shuanglong Bridge lift the drifting clouds, passionately embracing and kissing the soft glow of the sunset! Look: in the gaps of the bluestone slabs, worn smooth and translucent by time, the lingering echoes of horse caravan copper bells remain; the varying depths of the indentations on the bridge’s stone slabs are poems composed by the footsteps of countless salt merchants, exam candidates, and vegetable farmers carrying loads. As dusk falls, the reflections in the water and the drifting clouds in the sky gradually merge into one. This ancient bridge, listed as a national protected site, is weaving the grace of the Jiangnan water towns and the grandeur of southern Yunnan into the curves of each arch, becoming an eternal painting engraved on the red earth!
