A two-day and one-night trip to Xitang, experience the ultimate Chinese-style romance (with strategy)

White walls and black tiles, misty corridors, it's truly an ancient town that sleeps by the river! I've been to many ancient towns, and finally checked in Xitang~ The first impression - this must be the real Jiangnan‼️ Next is its size, it's at least five times as big as the Xinchang ancient town I often go to~ Here, the souvenirs, dining, and accommodation are quite distinctive, and it's super fun to shop and eat~ Of course, some popular drinks🥤 and accessories are a bit pricey though~ ✅How to play: The entire ancient town is built along the river, with an antique charm. Along the street, there are various foods, accessories, clothing, tea, and hat shops, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while browsing and eating. There are also many clothing galleries where you can experience ancient and ethnic costumes for travel photography, which can be done for around 200. There are several museums in the scenic area, as well as a bar street, where the atmosphere is super exciting at night~ ✅Accommodation choices: It is recommended to stay inside the scenic area when visiting Xitang to experience the flow of time in the ancient town. There are many hotels and small B&Bs in the scenic area. I prefer the larger ones, and the Xitang Chengshang Shijia Hotel I booked is pretty good, with a luxury type, spacious lobby and rooms, and standardized services, offering great value for money. ✅Dining features: When in Xitang, you must try the local specialties. I recommend Yulou Chun, I've been to both locations in the scenic area, they offer great value for money, a better environment, and the view is fantastic. And the dishes are really excellent, with an average price of around 40 per person for a very good meal. For breakfast, there are even more options, with fried dough sticks, xiaolongbao, noodles, wontons, and a focus on whatever you desire. There are also various milk teas🧋, coffee, snacks, and specialty pastries❤️, there's nothing you can't find~ ✅Photo tips: ·Small bridges, flowing water, ancient buildings, boats, and alleyways ·The spectacular big red lanterns🏮 on the bar street at night ·Third floor of Yulou Chun Wolong Bridge store, rooftops of other shops ·Follow the travel photographers to find shooting locations and angles 📌Tips: 1️⃣The scenic area charges an admission fee from 8:00-17:00, 95 yuan for adults, half price for students, covering the small admission tickets🎫 within the scenic area; free at other times. 2️⃣There are 4 parking lots in the scenic area, around 30rmb/24h, and the road-lined parking spaces outside the scenic area are free 3️⃣Remember to bring beautiful clothes for taking great photos, and don't forget your makeup 4️⃣When buying souvenirs, you can shop around for better prices, as there can be quite a difference 5️⃣There are also some free attractions very close to the Xitang scenic area, which are also nice to visit 6️⃣Official flowering periods:       Cherry blossoms: late March - early April       Lotus: early June - late September
