Guangxi Trip ~ Quyang Lake

Quyang Lake is a large karst plateau lake reservoir. It is located 28 kilometers northwest of Jingxi City, with a total area of 2469.9 hectares (24.699 square kilometers, or 37048.5 acres), and a total reservoir capacity of 92 million cubic meters. Among them, the lake area is 15540 acres (10.36 square kilometers, or 1036 hectares), the lake is 15 kilometers long, the widest part is 1 kilometer, and it is the second largest artificial lake in Baise City. The water quality is excellent, there are more than a dozen large and small islands, along the coast there are mountains with an altitude of more than a thousand meters, and hundreds of Zhuang-style stilted villages hidden in the green trees and bamboo. On August 22, 2022, with the approval of the People's Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Autonomous Region Forestry Bureau announced the second batch of important wetlands in the autonomous region, including the Jingxi Quyang Lake Wetland.
