Longji Rice Fields

If you are visiting Guilin or Yangshuo, Longji Terrace fields is definitely a must visit. They are located 2.5 hours bus ride away from Guilin, Guangxi province. Transportation are well organized. You have organized tours and buses that are departing several times a day usually in front of Hong Kong hotel. Also depends to which village you go. Tickets you can book and pay at your hotel. Bus will drop you off at Dazhai Village and from there you have around 1 hour hike through the fields until you reach your hotel. Also you will pass by couple of small villages on the road. The hike is absolutely the best part of the trip. Once you come at the top you have several view points from where you can watch the fields. During summer they are all green, so if you wanna see them while they are yellow, than definitely come in autumn. Our favorite one is “Thousand Layers to Heaven “. You also have a cable car that can take you up to the top of the fields. This is definitely a perfect spot for a getaway to nature, to enjoy beautiful panoramic views, sounds of nature and silence.
