Xishuangbanna Wangtianshu Scenic Area

Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest National Park·Wangtianshu Scenic Area is located in the national nature reserve of Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is 60km away from Mohan, a national first-class port leading to Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar, 134km away from Jinghong City, and 370km away from the world-famous cultural heritage ancient city - Luang Prabang. It is the only oasis at 21 degrees north latitude on Earth and is also the only tropical rainforest in China that is recognized by the world. In this dense and overlapping primeval tropical rainforest, there are densely populated iconic tree species of Southeast Asian tropical rainforests - Wangtianshu trees. On their towering trunks that reach seventy to a hundred meters, a 36-meter-high canopy walkway winds for hundreds of meters above the ground, walked by countless scientists from all over the world and people from all walks of life who dare to challenge it; this well-preserved tropical rainforest once shocked the world due to the discovery by botanist Mr. Cai Xitao and the witnessing by Prince Philip of the United Kingdom.
