Sunrise on Purple Mountain

Nanjings purple mountain or Zhongshan is in the center of Nanjing and the highest mountain in the area. During summer time, it's a popular weekend activity among young people to climb the mountain at night and enjoy the sunrise in the early morning. 🌄 Depending on the route, you should start at around 3am, because the sunrise is at around 5am in the morning. The most popular and also shortest route is the Northwest route starting at JiangWangMiao (subway line 4).
