Nishan Academy Hall, as beautiful as the sun and the moon, shines through the ages

Located in the sacred land of Nishan, aside from the statue of Confucius, one must not miss the Nishan Academy Hall. The Academy Hall is situated on the east side of the central axis of the Nishan sacred area, built against the mountain, with a majestic presence. The Academy Hall, also known as the Confucian Palace, together with the statue of Confucius, dominates the scenic high ground of the Nishan sacred area and has become a new coordinate for promoting excellent traditional culture in the new era. The exterior of the Academy Hall is grand and imposing, and the architecture is magnificent. However, the essence lies within, containing a vast universe. The Academy Hall not only encapsulates thousands of years of Chinese architectural culture and ancient construction craftsmanship, such as trusses, brackets, flying eaves, and painted beams, but also gathers classic arts and traditional crafts like wood carving, embroidery, clay sculpture, woodblock printing, lacquer art, and gold and silver inlay, showcasing the continuous and ever-renewing culture and wisdom of Chinese civilization. Entering the Academy Hall, everywhere you look reflects China's cultural confidence. The name of Nishan Confucius Academy Hall is derived from 'The Great Learning' in the 'Four Books.' The way of the great learning is flanked by railings with phoenix heads symbolizing the arrival of the phoenix, and everlasting candles are placed on both sides, representing Confucius upholding the way of life, promoting the study of benevolence and righteousness, as beautiful as the sun and the moon, shining through the ages.
