Santorini｜The Right Way to Experience Fira Town, with Red and Black Sand Beaches

Although Fira Town is small and somewhat commercialized, it does not detract from its comfort and beauty. Find a cozy guesthouse here (almost all guesthouses or hotels have small pools, and the buildings are beautiful) and stay for a few days to feel time stand still, experience pure tranquility, and soak in the romantic atmosphere. Black Sand Beach, Red Sand Beach Fira Town is the transportation hub of Santorini Island. At the bus station, there are buses going in various directions, generally every half hour to an hour, including to the Black Sand Beach (photo 16, quite commercialized, beach chairs and umbrellas require extra fees, swimming is allowed) and the Red Sand Beach (photo 17, requires a short hike, not as difficult as some guides claim, swimming is not recommended as the water is not very clear and the beach has many small wood debris). However, personally, I find the Red and Black Sand Beaches quite ordinary. If time is limited, you can skip them and just relax in Fira Town, enjoying the sunshine.
