Shanghai Wildlife Park is free for 30-year-olds! The perfect weekend spot for kids!

After 6 years in Shanghai, I finally checked in at Pudong Wildlife Park! The 30th anniversary benefits are amazing—if you were born between November 1994 and November 1995, you get free admission during your 30th birthday month! My teammate and I just qualified for this, saving 320 yuan on tickets, what a great deal. 🚗 Transportation tips: Take Longyang Road to Line 16 to Wildlife Park Station, then exit to catch the 125 shuttle bus (the loop line is very convenient with many buses). Tour route: Refer to map 15, and best to combine with the daily show schedule posted at the entrance on map 17. 📝 Personally tested no-waste tour route (with pitfall avoidance tips): 1️⃣ After entering, go straight to the end, turn left to the flamingo + toucan corridor, perfect for photos! Early arrival means fewer people, and the pink feathers look amazing in good sunlight. 2️⃣ Key point! Head straight to the predator area tour bus! The weekend lines are very long; the right queue is for the free tour bus, the left is the 100 yuan feeding bus, lasting 15 minutes, probably faster due to more people. Tips: Sit on the right side of the tour bus for more animals, and the front window area has the best view. Seeing tigers and lions up close is super thrilling. 3️⃣ After the predators, rush to the 12 o’clock Sun Palace Square for the "Decoding Nature" show— a must-see! (Go early if you can, otherwise you’ll have to stand on the side with a poor view. Watching hunting dogs and cheetahs run, and ostrich riding is quite fun.) 4️⃣ Next to Sun Palace is the popular animal area with alpacas 🦙, kangaroos 🦘, giraffes 🦒, pandas 🐼, hippos 🦛, elephants 🐘, etc. Most have interactive feeding for 30 yuan per time, or a 100 yuan pass for all feedings. Tips: Try to get there early; after noon, many animals start napping. 5️⃣ Continue the loop to the primate area, which also has crocodiles and brown bears. Just check out what interests you! 6️⃣ Then head to the popular red panda area (the interactive feeding line is very long, and apparently no more lines after 3 PM, so go early if you want to feed them). They’re so fluffy and adorable! 7️⃣ After the red pandas, rush to the 2:30 PM Magic City Circus show 🎪. Honestly, the quality is very high. I heard it’s a Russian troupe, a full hour with no dull moments, very exciting, and the biggest surprise! Tips: Buy tickets when you enter the park for better seats. Also, there’s a discount for 30-year-olds! Regular Zone 1 is 30 yuan (originally 110), VIP 50 yuan (originally 140), a real bargain. There are still 2 weeks left for this event, so all 30-year-olds hurry up and go!! Finally, this benefit is ours as post-95s! Plus, the autumn scenery in November at the zoo is absolutely stunning, and with the fluffy animals, autumn feels even cuter.
