After you’ve checked out that floor, you can head up to the 263-meter mark, where there’s this glass floor observation deck. It’s kind of the best place to hang out and take it all in, but you might have to wait a bit to get a spot all to yourself. Totally worth it for that killer photo, though. When you’re heading back down, don’t miss the floor in the biggest ball of the tower, where everything’s got this pink glass vibe, and you can even play some arcade games. Imagine visiting China for the first time in your life and spending your first evening strolling through Shanghai. I no longer need to imagine it because I’ve done it. No photograph can convey the emotions and feelings I experienced there. It was incredibly beautiful, so much so that tears uncontrollably welled up in my eyes from the grandeur of what I saw. This city completely immerses you in the glow of its lights and the height of its buildings. In the Lujiazui district, you get a view of the famous Oriental Pearl Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), and the Shanghai Tower. Simply magical! We also went up to a restaurant with a panoramic view on the 91st floor of one of the skyscrapers. We had a beer there, admired the city from above, and then set out to find a more affordable place for dinner. We found a local eatery, had some noodles and soup there—of course, with some caution and doubts—but everything turned out fine. I was very surprised by the lack of crowds. The later it got, the more it felt like we were the only ones in the city. After wandering through the empty streets among the skyscrapers, we headed back to the hotel. The emotions were overwhelming, but this was only the first day, and a great adventure lay ahead. More about that in the next post.

European-style buildings line the riverbank, mixed with modern skyscrapers on the opposite side – classic and futuristic coexist unbelievably well. 🛍️ Day 3: Shop to your heart’s content at Ximending & Nanjing Road Shops, cafes, famous brands, and plenty of snacks! Ximending gives a youthful vibe, while Nanjing Road is one of the busiest shopping streets in China. ⛩️ Day 4: Travel back in time at Yuyuan Garden & Jing’an Temple Yuyuan Garden is beautifully traditional and delicate, with tea houses to relax and sip tea. Jing’an Temple is peaceful and stunning, calming your mind the moment you step inside. 🍜 Food is second to none! I must say, the Chinese food here is excellent! Whether it’s xiaolongbao, hot pot, or local snacks, the aroma is everywhere you go. The North Bund is located in the Hongkou District of Shanghai. It is a riverside development area along the Huangpu River that blends culture and modernity. Here, you can find riverside walkways, museums, restaurants, and popular photo spots. Don't go to visit the Huangpu River Sightseeing Tunnel. It's not worth spending dozens of yuan to see a tunnel with lights. You can take a ferry for 2 yuan to tour the Huangpu River. Don't buy souvenirs or eat in Tianzifang, it's all a trap. You don't need to go to the Oriental Pearl Tower to overlook the entire Huangpu River. You can go to the Cloud Bookstore, which is 52 stories high. The snacks in the City God Temple are not recommended, it's completely a commercial street. Wukang Building must be visited during the day to appreciate its beauty. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is very convenient for shopping. The largest NIKE in Asia and M&M's are here, but don't eat here. You must take the ferry, with 2 yuan you can enjoy the night view of Shanghai.
