Once again, visiting the old hometown Yuyuan Garden at night, colliding fully with the eight hundred miles of Huizhou dreams. Originally, Wang Mantian's fish lanterns came from afar, setting up a starry river feast in this Shanghai garden. Look at the huge fish king, leading three or five brocade-scaled fish, leisurely swaying their tails by the Nine-bend Bridge—bamboo frames supporting a translucent spirit, plain silk dyed with the gentleness of plants, candlelight flickering softly inside the fish belly. The most touching is the intertwining of lantern shadows and human shadows. A girl in a qipao holds a bamboo pole, and the little fish leaps on her shoulder; children with braided hair chase the flowing light, their laughter awakening the sleeping plaque. I suddenly recall the verse from the Book of Songs, "The kite flies to the sky, the fish leaps in the deep"—this thousand-year-old garden, at this moment, is it not an inverted deep pool?
