Shaoxing indeed has many fun places to visit, and if you have enough time, be sure to spend a day at these three spots, highly recommended‼️ - 1️⃣ Shaoxing East Lake Scenic Area: The water's cliff abyss, like a Jiangnan scroll painting, has been carved out over a thousand years, forming a stunning water and rock bonsai. You must take a ride on the Wupeng boat at least once, shuttling between the stone walls, and feel the poetic and picturesque charm of the ink and rain! - ✅ The scenic area is a straight line, with two routes, the left side is a flat road, and the right side offers the option to take a mountain path. 🌟 Boat cabin: 40/person, one boat can seat 4 people. There are A and B lines, you can ride from the beginning to the end or take the boat back from the end, it is recommended to walk to the end and then take the boat back (fewer people queuing for the boat). 🎫 Ticket: Free admission until the end of March, advance reservation required on Shaoxing Culture and Tourism Group website. - 2️⃣ Xiancha Lake A very characteristic ancient towpath with a hundred-year history of water conservancy project, it was the pathway for ancient people to travel and unload goods, standing on the ancient towpath and feeling the lake breeze, admiring the beautiful scenery, and taking a beautiful photo is amazing! - ✅ Navigation: "Bitang Farmhouse" (do not navigate to Angsan Bridge/Lake) Public transportation: Take Shaoxing Metro Line 1 to Huangjiu Town and then take a taxi there! The towpath is quite windy and has no railings, so be careful. - 3️⃣ Anchang Ancient Town: One of the four great ancient towns of Shaoxing, and also the most lively ancient town in Zhejiang, the town is known for its cured flavors, smoked fish, quail, and soy sauce duck, which are must-tries here, along with many special sticky snacks and intangible cultural heritage wine-brewed buns, which are really soft and delicious!
