Shenzhen University, a verdant campus

Six years later, I returned to Shenzhen University. Walking along the spacious main campus road, with neatly arranged coconut trees on both sides, the place is brimming with lush, vibrant life, instantly pulling my thoughts back to my college years. Shenzhen University, as the first university in Shenzhen, was established in 1983 with the joint support of Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Renmin University of China. Shenzhen is a young city, and Shenzhen University is equally youthful and flourishing. In 2023, it celebrates its 40th anniversary. The motto 'Self-reliance, Self-discipline, and Self-improvement' is deeply ingrained in the hearts of every Shenzhen University student. Thousands of lychee trees are planted on the campus, and when the lychees ripen, the air is filled with their fragrance. Hence, Shenzhen University is also known by the nickname 'Lychee Garden.' The Shenzhen University campus is teeming with life and vitality, always infused with a youthful spirit, which I deeply appreciate for its authenticity.
