Famous artworks at Shangri-La Singapore

#artshunting Shangri-La Singapore Address: 22 Orange Grove Rd, Singapore 258350 There are many commissioned art works at Shangri-La Singapore. From their websites, they have artists from Hongkong, Shanghai, Sydney, Bangkok and Tokyo and their arts are displayed all over at Shangri-La. If you are coming in from the main lobby, you will see a super high ceiling decorated with silver leaves hanging from above. From the website, this awesome art piece is the Tree Canopy, a ceiling art centrepiece by Japanese designer Hirotoshi Sawada. On the same level, a beautiful green wall decoration with a water fountain which Shangri-L described as Nature’s five elements – stone, wood, water, trees and wind and it follows the hotel’s overall interior design. There are also various statues around the main lobby. Try to go to the Valley Wing too, they have a huge 8.6 metre tall painting by Hong Kong artist Lam Chung, which portrays the idyllic settlement of Shangri-La in the mountains of Tibet. You will be in for a treat at Shangri-La for some arts hunting.
