Japan Travels: Sensō-ji, Asakusa Tokyo

One of the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo and a famous visiting spot for locals / tourists. It’s iconic for its huge lantern known as Kaminarimon at the front of the street entrance into the temple, it’s difficult not to miss it and also the three lanterns gate also known as Hozomon Gate after walking past the entrance. After passing through the gates, we walked into Nakamise-dori Street which is packed with local vendors for food, merchandises and traditional goods. It’s famous for its variety of snacks and we saw some stalls selling face masks. We walked around and further in, noticing a good spot where we can see the Tokyo Skytree tower. The Sensoji temple is located at the end of the long street path, we finally reached and witness its magnificent sight at its finest. The temple was beautiful and holy, we toss a coin and give our prayers. We also spotted a tall pagoda building at the side too. After visiting the temple sites, we walked to Denboin Garden where it’s located nearby the Sensoji temple. It’s a beautiful garden with a nice relaxing scenery to enjoy the mother nature of Japan.
