Wuhan Night Sky | Crossing the river, crossing the morning, crossing spring

Taking the opportunity to attend a concert in Wuhan, I got to experience the city known for its carbs and street food vibe. My two-day adventure can be summed up as 'Wuhan is really big,' so it's more time-efficient to explore by district. Because I'm not a fan of 'commando-style' tourism , the itinerary for these two days was quite relaxed, and even my parents could keep up without feeling rushed (they even wanted more). I got to do everything I wanted to experience and also met up with friends from Wuhan. Here's a brief summary of the eating and playing over the past two days 😋 Day1️⃣ Wuchang Route (20k steps a day version) Breakfast at Liangdao Street—Yellow Crane Tower—Wuhan University—East Lake For breakfast, I chose the famous Master Zhao's fried dough twist and shumai. The queue wasn't too long, and they offer set meals which are very convenient. The fried dough twist and shumai were greasy and delicious, and the hot dry noodles were tasty 😋 Yellow Crane Tower aka the ultimate stair-climbing challenge , but the view from the top of the Yangtze River Bridge was breathtaking. Although it's not cherry blossom season yet, Wuhan University is still so, so beautiful . Our route 'Luojia Gate - Meiyuan Canteen - Cherry Blossom Avenue - Lingbo Gate' only covered about a tenth of the campus when looking at the map. After leaving Wuhan University from Lingbo Gate, we could see East Lake, which was unfortunately under maintenance and blocked by green cloth. Since East Lake is vast, we selectively visited the East Lake Tingtao Scenic Area, which is great for a leisurely stroll. Day2️⃣ Hankou Route (citywalk + 📷 version) Lihuangpi Road—Ba Gong House—Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street—Jianghan Pass Building—Wuchang Line Ferry Since the first day involved a lot of exercise, I didn't plan to get up early for breakfast on the second day . After a good sleep, we headed straight to Lihuangpi Road. The street view is very chill and perfect for a citywalk 📷. Walking along, we reached Ba Gong House, where there are many street photographers. I chose one based on my intuition. The price was 15r per photo, taken with a Fuji camera, and they provided balloons and flowers as props. The photo turnout rate was high. I've always wanted to experience the ferry transportation in Wuhan. It took only 14 minutes from Wuhan Pass Wharf to Zhonghua Road Wharf, and the price of 1.3r made my parents double-check because they couldn't believe it. On the way from Dazhi Road subway station to Lihuangpi Road in the morning, we passed by a shop claiming to be 'Wuhan's No.1 Hot Dry Noodles'. Both my dad and I agreed we had to try it . The beef was really tender and in large chunks , but I felt the noodles weren't as good as Master Zhao's, though my dad thought they were really something 😂. Wuhan is truly a city with warmth and a lively atmosphere 👍. I was fortunate to meet and catch up with old friends in Wuhan 😘. So many lucky and happy things happened ❤️. I'll come back again.
