Meizhu ancient village is scented with the fragrance of windmill jasmine

Meizhu ancient village is a traditional village located in Xinchang. The village is not far from Xinchang county town and has been beautifully renovated. Stone paths are lined with colorful flowers, and in May, windmill jasmine blooms with small white flowers. The climbing windmill jasmine emits a faint fragrance from its hanging branches. Tourists dressed in white Hanfu with exquisite horse-face skirts, hair buns, and a gentle sway, match perfectly with the quaint houses and courtyards. The village retains ancient architectural features such as front-yard ponds, watchtowers, temples, residences, and shops, with ancient buildings featuring flying eaves, carved beams, lattice windows with hidden patterns, and wooden carvings with distinctive styles.
