The Xishuangbanna General Buddhist Temple is the royal temple of the Dai Dynasty, also the first temple of Theravada Buddhism, and a Buddhist holy land revered by the Dai people. Unlike the red brick and gray tile temples of Han Buddhism, the main hall houses a rare bamboo Buddha on the first floor and a copper Buddha on the second floor. They are respectively the highest bamboo Buddha and the largest copper Buddha in Xishuangbanna. The entire temple is golden and splendid, rich and magnificent. The General Buddhist Temple was built in 615 AD and has a long history. It has two doors, and the back door is connected to Manting Park.
