The Great Wall National Cultural Park (Chongli Section): Exploring the Intersection of the Winter Olympics and History In Chongli, Zhangjiakou, lies a profound piece of history—the Great Wall. This area is rich in Great Wall resources, with ruins stretching for 122 kilometers and 153 beacon towers. Chongli, a magical place surrounded by Great Wall sites, borders Hualing Ridge to the north and Dajingmen to the south. To the northwest lie the ancient Great Walls of Yan, Zhao, Qin, and Wei, while to the southeast stands the well-preserved Ming Great Wall. It is worth mentioning that the Chongli Great Wall plays an important role in the construction and protection of the 'Great Wall National Cultural Park' (Hebei Section), becoming a key link in the 'two belts, four sections, multiple points' spatial layout. During the globally watched Winter Olympics, the Ming Great Wall near Taizicheng was even transformed into a carefully crafted landscape display and illumination project, allowing people to appreciate the magnificent night view of the Great Wall while enjoying the Olympic events. This unique experience of 'watching the Winter Olympics at the foot of the Great Wall, and watching the Great Wall from the Olympic venues' undoubtedly adds a distinctive charm to the Zhangjiakou competition area. I have personally climbed the Taizicheng Great Wall, driving deep from the Taiwu Holiday Town to the parking lot at the deepest part. Walking hundreds of meters west along the mountain road, the towering Great Wall comes into view. This mountain road is also a section of the 168 Super Off-Road Race, filled with challenges and surprises. Standing at the top of the mountain at an altitude of 2000 meters, overlooking the high-speed railway station, the snow town, and the three Winter Olympic venues of the ancient poplar trees below, I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and ambition.
