Chocolate Hills 🇵🇭
One of the best tourist sites in the world.
There are many things to do in bohol but this is one of the best places to go. If you are on Panglao Island it's almost 1 hour and 45 minutes of travel time. Chocolate hills is the farthest destination but this is one of the highlights of the tour. Along the way from panglao to chocolate hills you will pass by the man made forest, Tarsier, loboc river, churches and blood compact.
Recommended time at 9am starts maybe you will come back to the island at 3pm or 4pm for the duration of the tour.

Every mountain high, every valley low ⛰️
This is chocolate hills which is form of a rolling terrain of haycock-shaped hills mounds of a generally conical and almost symmetrical shape. This tourist attraction is located at Carmen, Bohol. You can also see a lot of souvenir vendors nearby which you can buy for your loved ones. I must say that this place were really worth it even if it's far from the airport.
I really had fun visiting this place and was able to see those chocolate hills. Also, in order for you to proceed in chocolate hills viewing, you have to climb the 214 stairs which is really tiring. However, once you came to the top, you will be mesmerize with the view that you will see. Also, there are a lot of travel agencies who offers tourist attraction package which you can also avail. We availed 1 package for 7 persons and that costs Php549 per head excluding the payment for entrance in every tourists spot you will enter.
I can definitely recommend this Chocolate hills as you will also loved the scenery going to the top. The place was also has good viewing area and it is also refreshing and calming.

Chocolate Hills
Well, it's matcha flavour? Haha, kidding. It's green during rainy season in the Philippines (June to February) and brown during summer (March to May). Its former name was Carmen Hills but an American tourist called it chocolate so that's where it got its name.
It's a natural wonder and my last picture explains how and why these hills formed.
P.S.: You have to climb up on the viewing deck and please don't litter. Bring an umbrella if you're going during summer or midday. 😁

Bohol Chocolate Hills
Chocolate hills are located on Bohol Island, Philippines. It is one of Bohol's top tourist attractions and is on the Unesco world heritage list. It consists of 1268 hills with a different formation.
The normally green hills turn brown towards autumn. That's why it got its name.
It is located in the middle of the island of Bohol, we rented a motorcycle as a means of transportation on our way here. We paid 150 pesos ( 3 dollars) for the entrance fee.
We really had a pleasant journey in a unique landscape. Definitely add this to your list, also it’s better if you come at sunset.

The best view comes from the hardest climb ⛰
Indeed this saying is correct! 💯
Got so proud of myself after climbing the steps to view the majestic Chocolate Hills. Located in the middle island of Bohol, an hour drive away from their capital. You’ll surely fall in love with this geological formation that changes color depending on the season. They are actually at least a thousand hills spreading all over the area of Bohol. 😮
Never miss this tourist attraction when you visit the beautiful province of Bohol. Definitely worth the long drive. 👍🏻👌🏻

CHOCOLATE HILLS- Bohol, Philippines 🇵🇭
You can get there by flying from Manila NAIA to Panglao International Airport or if you’re from Cebu, there are boats at Pier1 to Tagbilaran Port. It would be best if you are renting a car which is around PHP 1000 per day.
At Chocolate Hills you can have some leg exercise by climbing 100 steps to the top of the hill. It’s gonna be worth it though. If you need a massage, they are offering one at the ticket desk for a very cheap price. They also offer ATV where you can drive around the feet of the hills. The ATV ride costs around PHP 1200 per person.
So far my husband and I enjoyed it. 💕

Chocolate Hills is one of the Tourist spot when you are going to tagbilaran bohol, a 1 and half hour away from city to Carmen bohol where chocolate hills are located.
The famed Chocolate Hills of Bohol are not only two but more than 1,268 cone-shaped hills – a very strange geological formation that has baffled a lot of geologists. The hills are spread over an area of 50 square kilometers or more and vary in size from 30 meters to 120 meters in height.

Chocolate Hills, Bohol Island
If your ever in Bohol , a must see , is the spectacular Chocolate Hills of Bohol
On Bohol , there are up to 1776 Chocolate Hills - no I didn’t count them 😁😁
The reason these natural Sandstone Hills are called Chocolate Hills ... is during the dry season , these graphic Hills are brown in colour ... thankfully during our tour of the local area ... the Chocolate Hills were covered in lush green ( even had thunderstorms during our visit )
Interesting ( from our tour guard ) the Bohol’s Chocolate Hills are counted annually , to confirm each hill is still geographically classified as a hill ... for Bohol statistics ( 40 metres above ground level)
If you feel energetic 😀😬 it’s 214 steps up to the panoramic observation lookout ... from the tourist information office & tourist drop off , turn around location ... at this must see Tourist location 😎🧐
During our memorable holiday to Bohol , earlier this month ... we were able to visit the Chocolate Hills , by taking a Day Tour from our Hotel in Tagbilaran City ... during our private tour of Bohol ( there are also organised group tours ) we were able to visit other scenic locations , around the interior of Bohol island ... these tours are usually good priced
Highly recommend - take your camera 😁😁

Chocolate Hills in Bohol Ph
Chocolate Hills in Bohol is a famed tourist attraction in the Philippines which continues to draw attention for its unique and majestic characteristics. There are more than 1,000 symmetrical mounds, conical and dome-shaped that most people liken them to Hershey's Kisses.
The name 'Chocolate Hills' is derived from their appearance in summer where the lush green grass turns into a chocolate brown colour. The exact number of haycock hills has strangely never been recorded. It has been estimated that the island of Bohol is home to up to 1800 of the dome shaped hills.
They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name. The Chocolate Hills is a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. They are featured in the provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attractions in the province.

#staycation Chocolate Hills. Amazing place. More than a thousand hills sprawled over a vast area. Truly one of a kind and a little bit mind boggling how and why the hills are formed like that. And while you're in Bohol, make sure to visit the Tarsier sanctuary and fall in love with those wide eyed cuties!#TripInspired

Is it worthwhile to play in the Philippines?
The last note was like the island of Siquijor in the Philippines. A friend asked me, is that Bohol Island worthless? Seeing other people's pictures are very good, isn't your opening method wrong? Now let me talk about the view of Bohol Island (a personal opinion with prejudice~)
1 Too many tourists are the first image that Bohol Island gave me, and all of them come to Alona Beach in Uoyang. People, the sea beach is not clean, if you can't touch the good weather, you can't take good pictures. 2 playability is not much. In addition to taking pictures at the beach, there is no special snorkeling in the cliff restaurant and island hopping. I went to the island to watch the turtles. The weather was bad. It affected the scenery. The boyfriend was still seasick and couldn't play.
Is it, is the island of Bohol so worthless? In fact, there are still many places that can be used as the reason for the first time in the Philippines. 1 Because Bohol is relatively complete in development relative to other islands, many conditions are relatively better. More suitable for the first time abroad travel preferred. 2 A lot of Chinese food on the old island of Shan State, suitable for Chinese stomach tourists. 3 The line is mature, suitable for tourists who are too lazy to do the Raiders. So, if you are interested in Bohol, the following attractions can be seen ~
Gazelle Park
Bohol Island has the famous tarsier protection center, you can see the world's smallest The tarsiers, which are only large in the palm of their hand, are hard to find under the leaves. Its pretty cute when you watch it carefully. You can report a day trip or rent a motorcycle.
Chocolate Mountain
In the autumn, the leaves on the mountain turn yellow like chocolate, and the mountain looks very cute. Very spectacled a route.
Bali Casa Island snorkeling
a small island near Panglao Island. When the weather is good, the sea is very clear and the aerial photography is good. You can also snorkel and watch the turtles. The deep dive can also be suitable. You can also rent a boat to the island and play with the nearby Virgin Islands.
Beach of bohol Private beach
Alona Beach is just like many people, the beach is not very clean. We found a paid beach, which is less clean than the people here. Tickets are 7 yuan. Search
local popular caves
few notes have been written, local popular caves, and there are A pool, very safe, have time to go. Name search
Transportation: The first flight in Manila is to fly to Bohol Island, or to fly to Cebu to fly again, it is very convenient.
Hotel: All star hotels have it.
Language: Its okay to go out for a little English. Many Chinese food and Chinese
Island traffic: you can rent a motorcycle around the island, 300 to 500 pesos a day.

The lovely Chocolate Hills, the wonderful Haw
Chocolate Hill, is said to be a place where Harry Potter is famous, along the long stage, and from the heights, the conical hills Scattered around, it is like a piece of chocolate, very interesting, of course, I am not the most suitable season, it is still green, it is said that after the grass is dry, the brown is more like chocolate, it is wonderful.
jacskson's wonderful world.
Two million years ago, most of the islands of Bohol were still below sea level, or a cluster of coral reefs. Later, with the change of geology, the deposition of coral and shell fragments gradually rose out of the water. This hillock is the legacy of the ancient ocean. Because there are no big plants on the top of the soil, the green trees can only grow at the foot of the hills, which makes this beautiful scene dotted on the green field. A beautiful paradise.
The car can be driven to the door of the park and needs to climb over a hundred steps to overlook it. Looking down from above, the hills are surrounded by green trees and there are no large plants on them. On the plains of the vast desert, you are lovely. Really like a piece of chocolate, it is like a mushroom that just emerged from the soil. It is full of movement and makes people try to climb the mountain. The viewing platform is a must-see. Many tourists will take two photos of the chocolates here. Such a huge chocolate should only be enjoyed by giants. In fact, the local mythology is that the two giants fight and throw each other with stones, which finally makes this cone-shaped hill.
This must be the most familiar to the fans, because this is one of the locations of Harry Potter. The magical magical world, the lost magical sky, may only be revealed in such an extraordinary place.

Chocolate Hills is a peculiar geological structure in the Bohol region of the Philippines. There are 1,776 hills in the area of more than 50 square kilometers. They are covered by a green grass that turns brown during the dry season, just like the color of chocolate, which is why the mountains are named.
Chocolate Hill is a conical rock mountain. It is difficult to grow plants. The green color in the brown color is the source of the name of the Chocolate Mountain. He is also a location in Harry Potter.

Chocolate Hills in the middle of Bohol, Philippines. Bohol’s Chocolate Hills!
The Chocolate Hills in Bohol, Philippines, form a surreal landscape that captivates visitors with its natural wonder. Comprising over 1,200 perfectly cone-shaped hills, the geological formation turns brown during the dry season, resembling a sea of chocolate kisses, hence the name. These unique mounds, varying in height, create a mesmerizing sight against the surrounding greenery. The Chocolate Hills are a geological mystery, with theories attributing their origin to coral reefs uplifted by tectonic movements. Regardless of their origin, the hills have become an iconic symbol of Bohol and a popular tourist destination, offering breathtaking panoramic views from elevated vantage points like the Chocolate Hills Complex.

Bohol Island Travel Guide🫡part1 Super Detailed
Finally, the long-awaited trip is here! After repeatedly searching for travel guides, we chose the cost-effective Begonia Resort Hotel🏨. Although it's not by the sea, the four-star facilities are still very good. However, it should be noted that the sound insulation of this hotel is not very good, it is surrounded by farms, and there are often animal calls at night, which may affect rest😴.
On the first and second days, we mainly carried out land activities. First, we went rafting on the Loboc River and watched the Chocolate Hills, had the opportunity to see the cute tarsiers, and finally enjoyed the magnificent sunset of Alona🌅.
p1-3: Loboc River rafting was our first activity. The traditional Filipino cuisine on the boat surprised us. Especially those delicious drinks, with a refreshing cucumber taste, are unforgettable. For Chinese tastes, fried chicken and pork belly are the most popular. There is also a super healing band on the boat, their singing accompanied by the rhythm of the boat and greetings from other boats, making the whole rafting process more enjoyable.
p2-3: The tarsier and Chocolate Hills attractions are very close. The tarsier is a national treasure of the Philippines, only as big as a thumb, and looks very cute. There is also a famous bee farm at the entrance of the tarsier, their ice cream is a popular product, you can try it. The coconuts at the entrance are very juicy, and the price is also very cheap, you must buy one to cut open and eat the coconut meat, the taste is super tender. As for the Chocolate Hills, although it is not as shocking as in Harry Potter, as one of the treasures of Bohol Island, it appears on the 20p banknote, it is definitely worth a look!
p4: The sunset view of Alona Beach is stunning, and you can take amazing photos without a filter. We brought a bottle of small beer and an ice lolly, and enjoyed delicious snacks while watching the sunset. However, it should be noted that the sand on Alona Beach is coarser and there are shells, so it is best to wear shoes to protect your feet. On the small slope entering Alona Beach, there is an ice lolly shop on the right hand side, their mango and pineapple flavors are superb!🍺🍦
p5: In Bohol Island, we tried the local fast food brand Jollibee. This Filipino fast food restaurant is much better than KFC and McDonald's, it's really a surprise. Their spaghetti is good and the price is reasonable, whenever you don't know what to eat, Jollibee is a good choice.
