#Huizhou autumn long valley home stay Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
I visited Huizhou again | I stayed in a homestay converted from a Hakka roundhouse
Every time I come to Huizhou, I can't resist the temptation and am deeply attracted by the leisurely life here. Stepping out of the hustle and bustle of the city and into the countryside, there's an indescribable sense of comfort in my heart!
.
This time we found a homestay with great character and chose to spend a leisurely weekend here!
.
🌟 Recommended Homestay —— Qiuchang Valley
🚗 Transportation: It is recommended to travel by car. It's only 1 hour's drive from Shenzhen and about 1.5 hours from Guangzhou. Just follow the navigation 🔍 to 'Qiuchang Valley'.
.
This is my second visit to this homestay! I particularly like its design. The main building complex of Qiuchang Valley is transformed from the Hakka enclosed house 'Songqiao Building' built by the Ye family, which retains the traditional rural residential style and adds modern conveniences. I brought my friends to experience the leisurely 'return to the countryside' vacation.
🛏️ Guest Rooms
For multiple guests, we chose the rural luxury two-bedroom villa, which can accommodate 4 people with two bedrooms, a living room, and two bathrooms. Not only does it have a private courtyard with a pastoral view, but also a private rooftop terrace. The weather in Guangdong is now cool in the evenings, and it's really chill to sit on the terrace, eating snacks and chatting.
.
Surrounding Attractions:
✅ Hakka Folk Customs: Stroll through the homestay's building complex and the standing flagpole stones, which have weathered through the years. One is engraved with 'In the spring of the 23rd year of Guangxu, Ye Enrong erected this', and another records 'The 12th year of Tongzhi', telling the long history of this feng shui treasure land.
✅ Every time I step into the Scholar's Mansion, the setting of books and ink seems to start a wonderful journey through time. As a public activity area within the homestay, combining a bar and a reading room, it's a unique experience to drink tea or read here, feeling the blend of history and reality.
✅ The homestay's Happy Farm reminds me of the memories of staying up late and 'stealing vegetables' online. The real-life Happy Farm allows you to walk into the fields and pick fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, re-experiencing the joy of hard work and harvest!
✅ There are also off-road go-karting, archery 🏹, and handicrafts around the homestay, suitable for parent-child activities, fun for both adults and children.
.
🍽️ Food Recommendations
The rural bar can meet all your needs for three meals a day. The afternoon tea 🥬 is grown in the Happy Farm, and the dinner chicken 🐓 is free-range, truly satisfying the stomachs of the people of Guangdong!
.
This weekend, why not come to Qiuchang Valley and enjoy this unique pastoral life that belongs to you!

Unlock a pastoral slow life in the hometown of guitars
Outside the door is a simple courtyard, inside is the same facilities as a star-rated hotel, and a sea of greenery is in full view in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows... This place is Qiuchang Valley's Pastoral Two-Bedroom Villa🏡
Equipped with the same silk-filled mattresses as the Four Seasons Hotel🛏️ and 🇩🇪 Duravit sanitary ware🚿, there have been many homestays, but such attention to detail is rare.
👗There are even Hanfu dresses available for free trial, very considerate💕. For us girls, taking photos to keep memories is a must when going out~
🏨Environment:
The main building complex of Qiuchang Valley is transformed from the Hakka enclosed house 'Songqiao Building' built by the Ye family. Look at that 🏡 century-old Hakka enclosed house, 🌿 the poetic and picturesque scenery of the mountains and fields, the retro vibe hits you right in the face.
Qiuchang town itself is also known as the 'Hometown of Guitars', why not take a look at the production process of guitars/ukuleles?
🥗Dining:
There are quite a few dining options, including century-old Hakka flavors, creative restaurants, and international cuisine, meeting different dining needs. You can switch up the flavors🍜

Huiyang Homestay | Immerse yourself deeply in the mountains and feel the romance of early spring
| Immerse yourself deeply in the mountains and feel the romance of early spring.🎊 A luxury homestay in the original fields not far from the city center—Qiuchang Valley, originally a Hakka residential complex, has been rebuilt on the basis of retaining the original architecture into a new garden leisure space. The vegetation and tiles in the homestay have retained their original form, and each room has its own unique style and ingenious design.🏘
We booked a parent-child room with a little yellow duck theme🦆. It's a one-bedroom and one-living room layout with great space and privacy. The living room serves as a rest area and also a play area for children, equipped with facilities that kids love, such as slides and small tents. The two kids really enjoy bouncing around on them💫. There's also a bay window in the room, with a green walkway outside. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping outside the window in the early morning, there's a sense of comfort in returning to nature and finding inner peace🤗
⛰The homestay is located at the foot of the mountains, where the air is fresh in the morning. After enjoying the local's favorite Cantonese breakfast in the pastoral bar, we took the kids to the homestay's own Happy Farm to pick fresh fruits and vegetables🌽. It's almost the strawberry🍓 season that the kids love. Taking advantage of this trip, we let them experience farm life by picking their own food. They had a lot of fun😆
☕In the afternoon, it's time to cherish the moments in the study room, learning about traditional Chinese culture while calming the mind. The aroma of fine tea, the lingering charm of history, and the enjoyment of a quiet private reading time📚
🍽For dinner, we chose to eat at the homestay as usual—Cantonese coconut soup chicken hot pot, the chicken is chewy and bouncy, a favorite of the locals🐔. The side dishes are all authentic delicacies grown by themselves, and my child drank three bowls of soup in a row, a taste of the countryside that's hard to find in the city.
🌟There are also quite a few entertainment spots around the homestay, such as shooting, off-road racing, grass sliding, etc., which are very suitable for family vacations.

The B&B is located in a secret pastoral area

The overall design retains Hakka elements
And combines modern design
-
This time I stayed in a Hakka style suite
The room is fully equipped, and the bedding is the same as that of brand hotels
Outside is a quaint courtyard and living room
The wooden feel of the living room's tea furniture is very good
On a rainy day, playing a game with friends
Drinking tea🍵, listening to the rain, it's so pleasant

GISELLE HUDSON
Huizhou is a great place for family outings and outdoor parent-child activities, offering a chance to explore ancient towns on the outskirts near Shenzhen
🎋 Huizhou's parent-child outdoor activities and romantic getaway spots are nestled in the pastoral countryside of Huizhou, transformed from the ancient Hakka enclosed houses of Songqiao Building.
🎋 Today, come to experience the rural life and relax. Both daytime and nighttime here are suitable for photography. In the afternoon, you can pick fruits, enjoy afternoon tea, read books in the study, and at night, sing songs, have a barbecue, and drink milk tea. The Pengcheng Restaurant here offers special dishes, and there's a buffet breakfast in the morning. There's not much else to do nearby; it's mainly about experiencing rural life. You can wear Hanfu to take photos, pick fruits, and the fruits here are quite cheap. There's also Yao chicken, the local free-range chicken.
🎋 Personally, I think it's a great place for those who love photography.

Autumn Long Valley | City Escape Plan, enjoy the slow life of the countryside!
Our old fans know that Green Vine's weekend getaways are basically centered around hotels, and it's impossible to get me to visit more attractions 😂
The homestay we stayed in is located in a village in Autumn Long Valley, transformed from a Hakka enclosed house called 'Songqiao Building'. It overlaps history with modernity, and the atmosphere is fully enhanced. For Green Vine, who has been toiling in the city all year round, it's the best place to relax 🤗
We chose the Hakka-style suite with the strongest retro vibe for our room type, which should be transformed from an enclosed house. Next to the simple courtyard are two separate rooms, with a shared courtyard in the middle, where you can enjoy green plants and also sip tea. Our group of people just filled the two rooms, instantly feeling like we had the whole place to ourselves 🤭
The view outside the window is a beautiful pastoral scenery, and there are many longan trees planted in the yard, giving a sense of tranquility and laziness like a summer afternoon. The interior decoration of the room is elegant and generous, spacious and bright, and the mattress provided is said to be the same brand as the Four Seasons Hotel's Silk Lian mattress, while the bathroom uses the famous German Duravit top-grade sanitary ware... The true quality is seen in the details, and I can only say that the price paid is worth it 👍
When Green Vine went, it was just the season for strawberries 🍓, and we had fun picking them at the Happy Farm with a little basket in hand. This must be the romantic life of Tao Yuanming 🤭.
In addition to the Happy Farm, the homestay also has an elegant and quaint book bar - Shangshu Di. The rich aroma of coffee mixed with the fragrance of fine tea, and the faint scent of books, finding a beloved book in the evening and enjoying a quiet reading time is incredibly pleasant 📚
Dinner was solved in the hotel's Garden Bar 🍽, where we ordered the local specialty chicken hot pot. The chicken was fresh, firm, and delicate in texture, and you could tell it was authentic free-range chicken. The vegetables were also grown in their own farm, emphasizing green and healthy eating. The next morning's breakfast also suited the taste of the old Cantonese, with siu mai and char siu bao, tasting great 👍
There are also activities suitable for both adults and children nearby, such as racing, archery, and grass sliding, which are also appropriate for family outings 👨👩👦. If you also want to break away from the intricate and trivial city life for a while, this small town full of history and pastoral atmosphere is worth experiencing~
