#The Thai Spa - Suntec City Mall Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Kokoro Mazesoba at Suntec City Mall
During lunch hours, you can spot a large crowd of hungry customers waiting to enter Menya Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba on the 3rd floor of suntec city shopping mall. The crowd attracted me and I know I had to give this restaurant a try.
I didn't have to wait long for a table, even though the inside of the restaurant was packed with diners. Kokoro's speciality is their mazesoba, which is soup less and more like mixed noodles with sauce and tons of ingredients. They had ramen, donburi, sides like gyozas and karaage, etc but I sticked to their specialties and didn't regret my choice. I had their super mentai cheese mazesoba and it's creamy, cheesy and rich while their super garlic mazesoba was bursting with strong flavours and aromatic with the garlic. Wash everything down with a glass of beer, and it was perfect! If you have remaining sauce in your bowl, after finishing all the noodles, don't forget to ask for a small serving of complimentary rice to eat along with the sauce. Kokoro mazesoba surely didn't disappoint and I would highly recommend it!

Colourful Kuehs at HarrisAnns
Whatever ethnicity or cultural background you are from, there is a dish or cuisine that plays an important role that forms who you are. For the Nonyas/peranakans, they have kueh kuehs which are colourful small pieces of sweets or desserts that plays an integral part in the peranakan cuisine.
HarrisAnns is a peranakan cafe serving both kuehs, drinks and peranankan dishes such as Ayam buah keluak, nonya curry, etc. These dishes are not as commonly seen in a hawker centre or food court, making it unique but delicious. HarrisAnns can be found on the first floor of suntec city mall and they are popular for their pretty looking kuehs. Their most famous kueh is the oneh oneh which always get sold out fast. Give their food a try, it's good!

Coucou Hotpot.Brew Tea @ Suntec City
They are a Taiwanese-style hotpot chain that is founded in China. This huge restaurant can be found at Level 3 (Tower 1&2).
We had the Taiwan style spicy soup base and it was very tasty. And it included soft pieces of beancurd that can be replenished. Heck, you can even take it away to eat more at home! Generally, the ingredients were fresh and very tasty. Had to pay for condiments and small sides and sides included braised pork rice. Very tasty.
Another unique selling point is their bubble tea. They even have a recommended pairing, like which tea would go best with which soup base. I had the da Hong Pao milk tea with pearl and it was delicious and went well with the soup.
Lastly, the most impressive part of the restaurant is the decor. See photos to decide for yourself. The decor is worth the reason to try the hotpot. Service was excellent too and waiters were attentive and quick to answer your needs. Do note to make a reservation is you do not intend to wait. I didn’t and waited close to 2 hours (Sat evening).
A highly recommended hotpot restaurant and will give other established hotpot restaurants like HDL and Beauty in the pot a run for its money.

Situated in the middle of one of Singapore’s biggest malls it has a ton of competition to push through. I tried one of their latte that was mixed with Gula Melaka. It was honestly pretty decent but I’m not too sure if it earned the price tag that they charged.
Vibes of the place was great but because it’s in a shopping mall it isn’t the best place for a read or for work. It’s simply just a place to get some rest before one continues their search for goods #cafe #foodie #urbanexplorer

Having 108 Matcha Saro during my staycation
#staycation
My berry luxurious staycation at Ritz Carlton Singapore brought me to try out this Japanese sweets at Suntec City. They have super delicious matcha green tea selections available in assortment. I also bring back some of their mochi for the staff at Ritz Carlton Singapore. They have excellent service and their club lounge is still as wonderful as before. I also enjoyed myself at the club lounge so I divided my stay into 2 nights, 1 night with club access and 1 night with breakfast only. This way I can try out their club and breakfast at The Colony.

Discover new eats during staycation

My berry loft-cation at Studio M Hotel and I want to show you how I went around hunting for food. When I did my staycation at ParkRoyal Marina Bay, I came across this tempura store Tempura Makino at Suntec City. But I did not have stomach space for them so I kept them in mind and visited them later. I am glad I was here and ate a great feast. On the same day, there was a travel fair ongoing too at the atrium. I also went there to join in the fun. But as I compared their products. I find that Trip.com has better values and more curated deals. It was also easier to contact Trip.com customer service via app chat when needed.

After using the Xiaomi products for so many years, I finally managed to find a flagship store in Singapore. The Xiaomi flagship store is located at the Suntec city mall. The shop is split into various categories. From electronic devices such as mobile phones, sports watches, security cameras, tablets, to household products such as portable fans and electric cups. You can get to use the items on display, before making your decision to purchase the item. The flagship is not big but it has all you need to find. Do visit Xiaomi store before making a purchase with them.

Starbucks Christmas Seasons
3 Temasek Boulevard 02-613/614 Suntec City Mall, Tower 3, Level 2, 038983
Starbucks has been a brand name known to everyone. Most of you would probably have tasted a cup of Starbucks coffee before. There are many outlets in Singapore as well as worldwide. There is a Starbucks located at the Suntec city mall. My favorite would be the chocolate java Chios and the green tea frappucino from them. The rich milky taste is what I like the most.
As the Christmas season is approaching, there is an assortment of Christmas decorative mugs. Be sure to bring them back as your Christmas gift for your best friends.

Best Tempura in Singapore
I love Japanese food and so do my kids, and that is why we often explore different kinds of Japanese food and restaurants in Singapore. When it comes to Tempura, Tempura Makino will be the first that comes to mind. Tempura Makino is from Japan with more than 10 outlets there. In Singapore, we have a few outlets here too but the one we frequent is the one at suntec city because it is bigger in terms of space and it was also the first outlet to open here. We love how the Tempura is crispy and not oily, and we usually the set that comes the soba, to make it a more complete meal. If you make the counter seats, you will be able to see chefs frying your Tempura in from of you. Fresh, good and yummy! Highly recommended!

Chinese Tea with a Twist
With our hot sunny weather in Singapore, I got to admit bubble tea is my drink to quench my thirst. It may not be healthy but it is unavoidable, and at least twice a week, I would be at a bubble tea shop getting my favourite drinks.
Today, I had the chance to try something different. It is a Chinese tea shop called Bawangchaji and they serve traditional Chinese tea to chilled Chinese tea latte with milk. One of the popular drinks would be the White peach oolong latte. I ordered a cup myself and it was pleasing to drink with a milky base. Hot drinks are also available on request. Cup size is huge so it is worth it for the price. Both the old and young will love their teas, so do head down to try!

You will be filled with joy when you walk around the don don donki located at level 2. They have an assortment of foods for you to choose. I love the way they packed the items. Its price is clearly labelled and the date of production was also pasted. Hence it would be good to take the latest packed date of the food, to ensure its freshness.

Movie theatre at Suntec
3 Temasek Blvd, #03-373, Singapore 038983
Suntec used to be one of the biggest malls in Singapore before the vivocity and nex mall was built. The Suntec building has lots of entertainment options. From playing games to karaoke to movie theatres. There is a golden village outlet at the Suntec city mall.
You can purchase the ticket on the spot or buy it online. You can even get discounts by using selected cards to make payment. For the outlet in Suntec they do offer gold class privileges. You can get to dine in and have a glass of wine while watching the movie. The seat is extremely comfortable, and you can lie down and rest at the same time, at a reasonable price. Do try it once if you can. You will enjoy it and fall in love.

Classy stationery shop
Address - Typo Stationery Shop, Suntec City Shopping Centre, 3 Temasek Boulevard, #01-418, Singapore 038983
I love to come to this stationery shop to buy gifts to give to friends for Christmas! They always have quirky and witty designs or quotes in their items that make these very fun gifts. You can get things like water bottles, notebooks, mugs, even laptop covers too. But I would say these are not the cheapest and do inspect the items carefully as not all of them are of equivalent quality.

They also sell some novelty gift items and even stuffed toys that looked pretty cute.

Purple fiesta carnival
There was a happening purple fiesta carnival that took place at the iconic central atrium of Suntec City shopping centre. All around the fountain of wealth, there were booths and shops selling all sorts of food, drinks and products that were purple in colour, super interesting!
It was quite a major event too where the guests of honour were ministers of state and members of parliament. Midway through, there was a contingent parade that marched through the roads, what a jam-packed experience.

My favourite place for all Japanese stuff
Don Don Donki has a new outlet at Suntec City which is very convenient for office workers.
Located on Level 2 near Atrium, Uniqlo and H&M, I love to come here for lunch and shops for all my groceries or Japanese items.
Sometimes they have airfrown fruits from Japan like now Muscat Grape 🍇 season. Previously, they had Melon too. If you are around Suntec city, do check out this outlet.
What I love most is their ready-to-eat meal as I can get good quality yet affordable Japanese food here. I can even take away or dine at their designated seating area. The sushi and sashimi are always good quality and delicious.
This is my Japan corner in Singapore.

🎃 Halloween @ Suntec City
A festival to ward off evil has been gaining popularity all over the world for celebration. For the most times, it is also a chance to role play and wear costumes such as dressing up as ghosts and other characters. Even the theme parks in Asia are also dedicated to Halloween celebrations by introducing spooky themes. Even the fast food and baking studio at Suntec City are also decked out in Halloween celebration. There are even Halloween theme baking classes too. It was really interesting to see all sorts of Halloween celebrations. Have a spooky weekend!

🍁Autumn trees at Suntec City Atrium
I was out during the Halloween weekend in Singapore. I have no recollection that there are celebrations and decorations on autumn festivals. Probably with the prolonged lockdown, everyone is taking the opportunity to use any seasons and festivals to close sales. I got lucky and be able to enjoy all the landscaping for autumn. At this particular travel fair, they even had trees full of warm coloured autumn leaves at their premises. It is not real but their striking colours will attract you. There are also many “fallen leaves” decorations everywhere. I can see the appeal for autumn sceneries.

3 Temasek Boulevard, Tower 5 02-379-387 West Wing, 038983
The nearest MRT station is at promenade circle line, or alight at green line city hall and take a 12 to 15 minutes from citylink walk to reach the place.
The Don Don Donki is a Japanese supermarket having branches in other countries including Singapore. They are selling a wide range of Japanese, Malaysian, and local foods. The sashimi is one of the hottest deals you can get. The assortment of Japanese Sushil and sashimi is jaws dropping. Ranging from salmon sashimi, tuna Sashimi, salmon roe, etc.
They have cooked food and bento too. They have sweet juicy squid, and bento costing below 10 bucks. Their food is freshly prepared. You can eat with peace of mind.
There is also a dining area where you can enjoy your food after making payment. This is definitely a great place to spend your weekends with your family and friends.

Chill out session at OSG Music Bar 🍻
📍3 Temasek Boulevard Tower 1 #01-510, Suntec City, 038983
OSG Music Bar is a nice relaxing music restaurant bar of which you can enjoy a drink/food while listening to songs performances by their resident singers. They have indoor stage space as well as outdoor spaces/stages (I guess only on weekends). As I had gone on a weekday night, there isn't any outdoor seating and only indoors.
Even so, there's quite a number of tables occupied (with more coming in later). The 2 singers were quite good, rolling out songs after songs of which some were requested by audiences. The audience were even singing along with the singers for some of the songs (especially the 90s pop songs)! I found myself joining them & started singing along as well 😆
Overall atmosphere was quite relaxing and I enjoyed myself a lot, especially after a stressful working day.

If you are at suntec, do pop by and find these tsum tsum lanterns which are on display due to the mid autumn festival. They are unique to Jurong Point and Suntec City so you can also consider Jurong point if it’s closer to you.
Some of them are bigger than human size so they definitely offer you with good photo taking opportunities and I will consider this place especially if I have tsum tsum friend lovers.
Apart from this place, do check out the mooncake sale which is also related to the mid autumn festive season.
