Not too far from Kochi Station, and you can easily walk to the famous Hirome Market and Kochi Castle. Alternatively, the front desk offers free bicycle rentals. Laundry is free, and drying costs 100 yen for 30 minutes. There's free coffee and a microwave on the first floor. Parking right in front of the hotel is free. The hotel was almost fully booked during our stay. However, the facilities are showing significant age, which makes the cleanliness situation feel like even with their best efforts to clean and maintain, it still comes across as messy and unkempt.
Definitely NOT A 5 star hotel quality and service. When we arrived, we were not greeted at the door, we had quite a few luggages but none of the staff even insisted on helping. The rooms felt small, nothing interesting with the interior (to be honest, it felt just like a better version of a business hotel), no bathtub in the rooms just a plastic shower room. Another thing I noticed is due to having only two elevators, I often encountered to full elevators especially during busy hours when people go to the public bath on the 5th floor. We also had to pay 1000 yen per night extra for parking which I find it absurd. The staff were not very attentive and all looked kinda like students. Overall, this hotel should not be ranked 5 stars. I will not go back.
The staff were friendly and our room was clean. The breakfast was satisfying, and after we finished eating, they even told us we could take our drinks (like coffee) with us when we left the table. I'd definitely stay here again!
Clean and nice rooms. Friendly staff. Great location close to Kochi train station a 13 min walk to the AEON mall. Awesome if u stay on a Sunday they have a great Sunday Market only 13mins walk also. Fresh local produce, nice food and local crafts being sold. Definitely worth a visit if u are there Sunday.
Located right next to Harimaya Bridge, it's easy to find and get around Kochi. The room was standard. Amenities were minimal, so you just grab what you need from the lobby. It was very clean and nice. Breakfast was included, but the venue is compact, so you might have to wait if it's crowded. I was happy to be able to eat seared bonito in the morning. I was very satisfied.
It's so top..... At the door, a gentleman came over to ask our name, knowing that I came to greet you today; We arranged a Western-style room, where the bathrobe, socks, and rafts were all ready, the bathrobe was super beautiful... At night, I went to the big bathroom and ran the soup and slept comfortably.
The breakfast the next day was too exaggerated.....a lot of things, shocked by the ritual of Japanese cuisine, from main dishes to desserts, eat cool.
The hotel has its own dinner and supermarket, and the souvenirs sold in the supermarket are also cute!
The bus stop is at the entrance of the hotel, super convenient! I will stay here next time.
Comfort Hotel Kochi became our 12th hotel on this journey, and honestly, it was one of the most pleasant surprises so far. We checked in earlier today, and the location immediately scored big points — it is just a comfortable 5-minute walk from Kochi Station, making arrival very easy.
The hotel itself feels brand new, and that freshness really shows. The lobby is slightly more spacious than other Comfort Hotels we have stayed at in Japan, which made a great first impression. Check-in was smooth even though it was done via a machine, and there was a friendly staff member nearby who stepped in to help and speed up the process when needed — a small touch, but very much appreciated.
We were assigned a room on the highest floor, and to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest standard double room we have ever stayed in across all Comfort Hotels in other cities. The room felt new, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. The entrance area was spacious enough to fully open our large luggage without playing Tetris — always a win.
The bed was comfortable, and while two pillows were already provided, I was able to get additional ones easily. There was a proper desk and chair, making it comfortable to sit down and work. The TV felt modern as well, with YouTube available, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Even the bathroom was more spacious than expected, adding to the overall comfort.
What made the stay even better was the free breakfast included for both nights of our stay, which always adds great value. On top of that, the streetcar station is also within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore Kochi without any hassle.
Overall, Comfort Hotel Kochi exceeded our expectations — modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-located. It was a solid and satisfying stay that made us glad we chose it.
The location was extremely convenient, being within walking distance of the station and close to the downtown area. While some parts of the building and guest rooms show their age, they are meticulously cleaned and comfortable. Many guests praised the wide variety of breakfast options and the taste, and the hotel is highly rated for its cost-performance ratio. On the other hand, some guests noted that the distinction between non-smoking and smoking rooms was unclear, and there were requests for improvements in the front desk service and check-in waiting times.
When we first arrived the front desk told us that we reserved a smoking room. In the trip.com booking it does not say so though. The front desk said all similar rooms for non-smoking were booked out.
We went up to the room but it smelled so bad that we asked agin for a different room showing them the booking. According to the hotel the booking was not directly forward to them by trip.com but by a different service therefore it varied from our actual booking. They were nice enough to give us a different room which was non-smoking. Unfortunately the room still smelled strange - at least no smoke smell.
Additionally there was almost no hot water coming out from the tap. In the photo the hot water was fully turned on.
Another issue was the parking. The one night stay fee was 1000 Yen (not for 24h). We checked out at 11 a.m. but decided to eat lunch in town and leave the car at the hotel parking. We took out the car at 2 pm and had to pay an additional fee of 1200 yen.
I went to Hirome Market earlier than check-in time, but I was able to park my car in the parking lot. The open-air bath was also very nice, and the breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious. The Thursday Market was right outside the inn, so I was able to buy fresh vegetables and fruits early in the morning. Thanks to this, I had a great trip.

GGuest UserI stayed here while sightseeing along the Shimanto River.
The amenities here included lotion, milky lotion, and even makeup remover, which was extremely convenient for female guests. (*^ω^)
They also had game consoles available for rent, so I played the Famicom, my childhood obsession, for the first time in decades!
(There were several other game consoles to choose from besides the Famicom.)
There was a souvenir shop and restaurant right next door, so I had no trouble finding a place to eat or buy souvenirs. ☆
The shower and toilet were separate, and the sofas were spacious.
I had a comfortable stay.
I was also given some snacks along with my welcome drink.
It felt like a great deal.

LLinyuRINGOThe hotel is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk from Nakamura Station. However, its proximity to souvenir shops, restaurants, and convenience stores makes it quite convenient. Just be aware that the nearby restaurant closes at 9 PM.
Breakfast is a complimentary buffet for guests. I can only say the Oden was delicious, but everything else was rather subpar.
It was fully booked due to Golden Week, so I couldn't switch to a non-smoking room. However, the window could be opened for fresh air and ventilation, and there was also a humidifier in the room, so I was still reasonably satisfied.

GGuest Userthe hotel room is nice , best shower even in Japan. but the sink is too low, good size for the child , too low for an adult the hotel has swimming pool, the pool is belong to the gym , normally require the membership ,but you just need to show the counter that you are staying in the hotel they will let you in. if you dont have the swimming suit, they have the swimming suit to borrow which was nice . they don't really speak English, that was a little tough to communicate. they have laundry machine at 3rd floor to use. the breakfast was acceptable , if you are foreigner, like western food , they have croissant, chocolate bread, salad, bacon. it was a good stay.
11350175****The hotel has a hot spring, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The view from the window is also quite nice. It's a decent hotel, nothing special. The hotel receptionist was very polite upon check-in, and I would probably stay here again next time!
CChong Ee JayWithin 5 minutes walk from Kochi Train Station to the hotel. Not much eateries in the immediate 5 minutes radius but if you take a 10 minutes walk down or 5 minutes tram ride, you can find an entire street of local shopping and eateries. Do visit the Hirome Market and Kochi Castle which is nearby too!
Hotel receptionist do not speak much English but they are super hospitable and easy to communicate via English with them using an amazing translation device they have! Had to do luggage delivery service and they were super helpful!
Would definitely stay in this hotel the next time we visit Kochi!
CCHANThe hotel is located in a remote area, suitable only for self-driving tours. The hotel is situated on a cliff, offering a very quiet environment. All rooms face the sea, but it is a bit dated, and the large bathhouse is a bit far from the rooms, which may be inconvenient for elderly people. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast and dinner were also good.
