Choosing Andu Hotel for my Suzhou trip was such a smart decision! The hotel is perfectly located on Jingde Road in Gusu District. It's within walking distance of popular attractions like Shantang Street and Guanqian Street, and close to the subway station, making getting around super convenient. There are tons of great food options nearby, perfect for both sightseeing and dining. The hotel's design beautifully blends Suzhou garden aesthetics with modern simplicity, creating a tranquil and elegant atmosphere. My room was clean and tidy, with all the smart amenities you could ask for, including a Dyson hairdryer and high-quality Afu toiletries. The service was warm and attentive, and the complimentary Hanfu experience was a delightful surprise. Excellent value for money, I highly recommend it!

The most, most, most recommended hotel in Suzhou! The young men and women at the front desk were all so gentle and thoughtful, always noticing what we needed. I really love the atmosphere here – it's so quiet and comfortable. The room was very clean, and the facilities were complete, even including a projector! The cleaning auntie was also very enthusiastic, helping us check what needed restocking. When it rained, they even prepared umbrellas for us. They even prepared drinks for us at check-out, in case we got thirsty on the road. This hotel deserves 5 stars!

The front desk staff were very welcoming; they let me choose my own room during check-in and also granted a late check-out when I left. The hotel's location is perfect, right by Lao Dong Men, with plenty of food and shopping options nearby – I was very satisfied. My only minor complaint is a slight sewage smell in the bathroom.

The room is located within the scenic area, right by the river. The owner was super nice, picked us up at the entrance of the scenic area, and even helped with our luggage. The proprietress recommended a great restaurant and a fantastic sightseeing route. We'll definitely stay here again next time. When we left, the proprietress even gave our child some snacks!

The hotel's beautiful surroundings and facilities and design truly exceeded my expectations! The pool is clean and a great place to play in the summer. There are also play areas for children to read and explore. There's also a gym and a good breakfast buffet. Overall, it's a great value for money. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Suqian. It's close to the highway, offering a quiet escape amidst the hustle and bustle. There's also Wuyue Plaza nearby, making takeout quick. Parking is also very convenient; guests don't need to scan a QR code or report their license plate number. There are also charging stations available, and the rates are very affordable!

This hotel is located in the Aqua City shopping mall, very close to Sanshanjie subway station, making it super convenient to get to attractions like Confucius Temple and Laomendong. Plus, there's a CHAYAN YUESE right downstairs! The breakfast spread is fantastic, with a great variety including local specialties like duck blood vermicelli soup and taro seedling dessert. The staff are all incredibly friendly, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, they're all warm and professional. Overall, it's excellent value for money, and I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Nanjing.

As soon as I entered the hotel lobby, I felt very spacious and bright, and the decoration style was simple and stylish, making people feel very comfortable. The service attitude of the front desk staff was also very good, the check-in procedure was efficient and enthusiastic, and I also introduced me to the hotel's various facilities and surrounding food attractions in detail.
The room was very clean and tidy, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the pillows were very suitable for a good night's sleep. The various equipment in the room are very complete, such as air conditioning, TV, hot water bottle, not only good quality, but also very convenient to use. The sanitation of the bathroom is particularly in place, there is no smell, and the quality of toiletries is also good.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient, the surrounding traffic is very convenient, there are subway stations and bus stops nearby, travel is very convenient. And distance one

I would give everything 10/10, EXCEPT the manager at the reception at the SPA that was dressed in a black uniform last night. She’s rude, she started taking a video of me and then proceeded to be on a video call with someone giggling during my consult. Ad yes, her camera was facing me. Mind you, I’m a foreigner so of course some things will require both me and the lady that was trying to help me to use a translator. I didn’t end up doing anything at the SPA because I was now worried about privacy entirely. Otherwise the actual hotel stuff is amazing. And the food from room service was good.

For my trip this spring, I chose the Xuelang Songpin Hotel, which truly excels in aesthetics and a sense of occasion. The hotel's overall design beautifully blends Jiangnan charm with Song dynasty aesthetics. The lobby features a magnificent ink wash painting of Jiangnan, which is visually stunning. The most unique experience was taking a traditional sculling boat directly from the lobby pier to our villa, adding a wonderful ceremonial touch.
Before arrival, the hotel butler proactively reached out via WeChat to add me, and I was able to pre-book the hotel's special activities like the singing bowl sound healing session, relaxing yoga, and the Shenshi tea ceremony. Throughout my stay, I could contact the butler anytime via WeChat, and they were always prompt and efficient in responding to my requests and providing thoughtful assistance. There were always golf carts available for transfers between the room, lobby, and other public areas.
I stayed in a deluxe riverside one-bedroom villa, 140 square meters, with a private garden. It was spacious and private, and the lakeside balcony offered views of quaint bridges, flowing water, and white walls with black tiles, resembling a picturesque ink painting. Stepping out of the villa, the garden was a riot of color with crabapples, cherry blossoms, magnolias, and winter jasmines all in full bloom. The beautiful Xuelang Lake was also perfect for photos.
Weekend breakfast is served in the all-day dining restaurant on the first floor and offers a wide variety of dishes. On weekdays, breakfast is at the Steigenberger Hotel, with a dedicated area for Songpin Hotel guests, and special additions like shrimp dumplings, xiaolongbao, and steak.
The hotel is conveniently located next to Sunac Cultural Tourism City, with attractions like Sunac Land, Sea World, Snow World (Sunac Magic Snow), Water World, and Sunac Mall all offering a one-stop solution for dining, entertainment, and shopping. The nearby Changguangxi Wetland Park and Wuxi Taihu Botanical Garden are also beautiful and highly recommended!👍🏼

SStanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner. I didn’t and still don’t have an eSIM that can make local call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free. I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands. I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.
I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop to Suzhou which was my next destination.
This operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.
After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge . If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass. Do check with the owner for up to date information.
The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.
Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. . There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy. It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances.
The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.
This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.
I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.
GGuest UserI always choose to stay here whenever I'm in Wuxi, and it's consistently a fantastic experience. The front desk service is excellent and attentive, the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the facilities are well-equipped. This is my absolute go-to for accommodation in Wuxi! Highly recommend!

2203176****This guesthouse offers exceptional service, a definite upgrade from others I've stayed in. The room facilities are excellent, with Kohler brand fixtures in the bathroom. The courtyard is beautifully designed in a traditional, picturesque style. They provided information about free parking and a contact number. The owner is diligent, enthusiastic, and even offers electric cart transfers. The guesthouse is conveniently located right at the entrance to the scenic area, and the prices are very reasonable, making it great value for money in the Kunshan area.
SSCTan (Malaysia)Our stay at Zhouzhuang Zen Yili was absolutely wonderful—a perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and convenience!
Taxi can dropped us off within 1 minute walking distance away from Zen Yili. Zhouzhuang ancient village entrance is just a few minutes walk from Zen Yili making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and activities. The peaceful surroundings of the homestay also added to the relaxing vibe.
The hosts, both husband and wife were exceptionally kind and gave us great local tips. They provided us more than enough fresh fruits, tea, biscuits and mineral water. I was surprised also that the room was with full mosquitoes nettings with even anti mosquitoes device provided if needed. During our stay the homestay and its surroundings ware without mosquitoes.
The room was spotless, with fresh linens and a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was of five star standard for its fittings, and was very well-maintained.
Before we checked out, we were given delicious homemade biscuits out of their hospitality. They also arranged for us a reliable and comfortable pickup after checked out.
For the price, this homestay offered excellent value.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples, families, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in Zhouzhuang ancient village.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful 2 nights in this family-run hotel. The host was extremely kind, friendly and helpful; he made us feel completely at home, and even gave us two delicious homemade ‘lard cakes’ to take with us because we’d enjoyed them so much at breakfast one morning!
The rooms are lovely - spacious, very light, bright and private. Really nice interior design. Ours was on the top floor with a roof top deck and great views over the lake and village.
The bed was very comfortable with fresh, clean linen and towels. There’s a kettle on the room but you need to bring your own tea or coffee. That said, tea and hot water were available 24-hours a day downstairs.
The meals in the hotel restaurant were delicious and fresh; they’re cooked onsite with ingredients that are caught or grown on the island, and are very good value. We ate breakfast (included) both mornings and dinner on our first night.
We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again if we came back.
The main thing to note is that the host (and very few people on the island) speak English, so having some Chinese definitely helps! But we felt very welcome at all times, even when our language skills reached their limits!

GGhost Traveller(I am Korean) I have never seen a Korean in Tongli, but I am leaving this for those who might come here.
I cannot speak Korean to the owner, but I was kindly guided through a translator. Just sitting in the beautifully decorated garden and the old-fashioned hall made me feel at ease. The room is so pretty that an hour passes by just taking pictures in the room. The interior is decorated with traditional furniture and has a modern bathroom, so it is very comfortable. You can think of it as a facility that was renovated from a regular house into a hotel. It feels like a '**old house' in Korea. And the location is also on the main street of Tongli-gujeon. When you go out, it is a picture.
However, to enter Tongli-gujeon, you have to pay 20,000 won (discount if you make a reservation at least one day in advance) even if you have a reservation at the hotel inside. I was surprised because I did not know this, but it was worth paying 20,000 won to stay there. That is because if you stay in the accommodation inside Tongli-gujeon, you can feel the 'night' of Tongli-gujeon.
There are many tourists during the day, but at night it becomes quiet and the night view unfolds. It is a scenery that people who come for a day trip would never know. Seeing young Chinese couples taking pretty pictures and walking hand in hand, I thought that this might be the most romantic place in Suzhou.
Make lots of memories~~
GGuest UserThis is my second stay here, and it's absolutely fantastic! The room facilities are excellent, and the bathroom is great with 24-hour hot water. The TV has a streaming service with membership, so you can watch any movie or show you like, and screen mirroring from your phone is super convenient. There's also a mini-fridge in the room, which is a lifesaver for anyone who loves cold drinks or has a small appetite – you can store leftovers! Plus, the front desk has a microwave available, which is a huge bonus.
The location is amazing with tons of great food nearby. You have to try Shenyang Chicken Rack (ask for the vinegar-splashed version!) and Tai Ben Niu (literally a few steps away). There's also Cha Yan Yue Se and Yogourt Family (you can order delivery or walk there, it's not far). It's very close to the subway station, making it easy to get anywhere, and taxis are cheap too. Highly recommend!
