The Marco Polo Wuhan Hotel is ideally situated on Yanjiang Avenue in Jiang'an District, directly opposite Hankou Beach and right next to the renowned Li Huangpi Road. I booked a room on the 27th floor, offering panoramic views of both sides of the Yangtze River, stretching as far as the Second Yangtze River Bridge. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperative during my two-day stay; the river was shrouded in mist, making it impossible to capture clear and stunning photos. The hotel's facilities and services are impeccable. The breakfast spread is extensive, and the dishes prepared in both the Chinese and Western restaurants are excellent and refined. We were particularly delighted with the Western restaurant's waiter-recommended double set menu, which offered a great variety of dishes and exceptional value for money. This hotel is too far from the city center, located in the outskirts of Wuhan. I booked it for a road trip and had a really bad experience; there's basically no service. The hygiene and facilities are just average, and they're lacking in everything. They don't proactively replenish essential items unless you ask. The front desk for check-in is on the 23rd floor, and the three elevators are shared, with no dedicated ones, which makes it very inconvenient for guests with a lot of luggage using a trolley. Overall, it's suitable for business travelers looking for a budget hotel. However, for older guests, I'd recommend looking for another hotel.

The Shangri-La in Wuhan was built in '99, so the in-room facilities are a bit dated. However, the bedding was comfortable for sleeping. As soon as you enter the lobby, you're greeted by that signature Shangri-La scent, which my son loved. The service is top-notch and breakfast is plentiful. An old Ferrari is still a Ferrari!

My stay at Hilton Wuhan Riverside exceeded my expectations! The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient with check-in, patiently providing information about the hotel's facilities. The room was clean and spacious, and the high-floor river view room offered spectacular views, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Yangtze River and Parrot Island Bridge—the night view was especially stunning. The bedding was comfortable, and soundproofing was good. The breakfast offered a rich variety, with local snacks like hot dry noodles tasting authentic. The high-altitude river view pool was perfect for photos, and its proximity to Hanyang Beach made for convenient leisurely strolls. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Wuhan!

The scenery is nice and suitable for taking pictures, especially the sunset and sunrise. There were no stars in the sky that night we stayed. You can pick tea for free in spring, and the tea in summer is old. The navigation occasionally leads people to a small road, don't go, in fact, the whole way is an asphalt road around the mountain.

Staying at the Westin again because I had to catch a high-speed train from the East Station the next day, and it's only a 10-minute taxi ride away. For over 700 RMB a night during the National Day holiday, it was incredibly good value for money. The facilities are new and clean, and stepping outside immediately offers beautiful scenery. A walk along the river on a sunny day was very pleasant, and there weren't many people around. Everything else was perfect, except for one minor issue: We arrived past 5 PM, only to be told that our room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait for about another hour. Having stayed in many five-star hotels, this was by far the latest check-in time I've ever experienced. After two discussions, another staff member at the front desk finally managed to get us a room, which was quite a struggle. We also tried the hotel's buffet dinner this time. The variety wasn't extensive, but the price was reasonable for the food offered. We were given a card to redeem for hairy crabs, but after waiting from 6 PM until 8 PM, we were told they were out and were given some oysters instead.

This guesthouse met my expectations perfectly. After an exhausting day at Enshi Grand Canyon, all I wanted was to lie down, and this guesthouse is super close, just a few minutes' drive from the visitor center. The owner even came out to greet us, making it easy to spot the place. The room had an amazing view and was very bright. The sofa was really spacious, perfect for lounging around. The complimentary snacks and fruit were a pleasant surprise – I even tried the stinky dried tofu and had a good laugh. We pre-ordered dinner, which was home-style cooking. Enjoying the beautiful scenery with a little wine, isn't that what a good trip is all about? The family room was huge, well-equipped, clean, and had a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom. Breakfast was also something to look forward to. My noodles were a bit salty, but I still polished them off! 😅 The housekeeper was always smiling, which made our stay very comfortable. I even took photos to praise them!

The hotel is very close to the airport, right opposite T2 terminal. However, for T3, you'll need to take a shuttle bus for a few minutes. It drops you off on the 1st floor, then you have to take an elevator to the 4th floor for check-in and security. With less than an hour, it felt a bit rushed, but the airport shuttle staff just kept saying there was enough time. We had to wait for one more person before the shuttle departed, and it was packed. I ended up having to use the express lane for baggage check-in. It's still somewhat convenient, I guess. If you're flying from T2, it's a decent option. But for T3, I'd recommend booking a different hotel, at least one that offers complimentary airport transfer services instead of relying on the airport's 5 RMB shuttle. The room was okay, but the soundproofing was quite poor, and the service was just average. Don't expect much from the front desk staff. Overall, if you're flying from T2, it's a relatively recommended choice.
