The Hilton Garden Inn Christchurch Airport is a true treasure. Its English castle-like estate and beautiful sprawling gardens are perfect for photos. Upon check-in, we were greeted with warm cookies. The room was spacious, the king bed was comfortable, and the heating was excellent. They offer a free, large parking lot and it's conveniently located near the airport and the Botanic Gardens. The breakfast even caters to Chinese palates with fried rice and dumplings. Plus, there's a heated pool and a gym. On the downside, the building shows its age a bit, breakfast isn't included, and it's a bit of a walk to the city center. This hotel is definitely a top choice for those traveling by car.

It looks close to the airport, but even taking the number 8 bus still requires about a 30-minute walk, especially since there are so many cars on the main roads, it's quite inconvenient and gives you goosebumps. Advantages: It's close to the car rental company, but once you get there, you'll realize how terrible the route is. It's very unsafe, requiring you to cross many roads without traffic lights. New Zealand drivers are noticeably less courteous than Australian drivers, so be extremely careful. As for the environment and hygiene, I won't go into details. In the overnight hotel, you have to run outside to use the restroom. But considering the price, you'll have to put up with it.

This is a large campsite facing the beach. There's a small kitchenette for cooking simple meals, and a communal kitchen. We went back to the hotel quite late and went straight to sleep. The foreigners were very quiet and didn't make a fuss; no one was smoking, which was great.

When I checked into the hotel that day, the front desk lady was very enthusiastic, introduced the basic situation of the hotel, and specially said that the door was closed at night, how to open the door, and then introduced the parking spot for the Christchurch bus, and walked less.

We met other great locals and tourists in the common kitchen! A well equipped Kitchen with hit water, microwave, large oven, bread toaster etc. This really helped us to be productive for our short stay in Christchurch. Thanks

Cross the road and you're at the cruise terminal for whale watching and swimming with dolphins, so no need to rush for early morning whale tours. A 5-minute walk takes you to the town's supermarket and restaurants. In the evening, a stroll along the coast offers stunning sunset views of snow-capped mountains meeting the sea. 2. **Incredible View Rooms** If you book a sea view room, definitely choose one with floor-to-ceiling windows. You can enjoy the direct view of the azure bay from your bed, with the Southern Alps stretching in the distance. The sunrise over the sea streams directly into your room in the morning, and at night, you can hear the gentle sound of the waves. The guest rooms are spacious, with separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the whole room has a modern, minimalist design. Since it's a relatively new hotel, the facilities are brand new with no signs of age or unpleasant odors. The soundproofing throughout the room is excellent, completely blocking out road noise. 3. **Comprehensive and Thoughtful Amenities** The hotel features an outdoor heated swimming pool, perfect for relaxing after water activities. There's also a small gym, convenient for a quick workout during a road trip. The daily buffet breakfast offers a rich variety of options, including local New Zealand sausages, fresh fruit, and made-to-order eggs – all delicious. The 24-hour front desk service is gentle and accommodating, and they even give a complimentary teddy bear souvenir to guests with children, a truly heartwarming detail. The hotel has its own free parking, so self-driving guests have no worries about parking. The Wi-Fi signal in public areas is stable. 4. **Pleasant Dining Atmosphere** The restaurant and bar, with their floor-to-ceiling windows, offer direct sea views. Enjoy a glass of local wine in the evening while watching the sunset; the ambiance is absolutely perfect.

The location is absolutely fantastic! It's right opposite a gas station and not far from the entrance to the bridge leading to the Church of the Good Shepherd. There's plenty of parking available. Plus, there's a pizza and crepe food truck right next door. The restaurant on the first floor serves delicious food. And there's a bar nearby with amazing burgers – definitely better than Big Face Burger! The ********* woman at reception was incredibly helpful; she went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information we needed. We'll definitely stay here again! Even though it's near the road, it didn't really affect our sleep. And the room was super warm and cozy!

The hotel is fairly centrally located (about a 15 minute walk), but at the same time in a quiet area. The room was huge, for lack of a better term - it's basically a lounge, a twin room and a double room. Not sure if that's actually the room I booked or an upgrade. At any rate, it was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The outer design is also very nice. There's also afternoon tea for free from 15:30 till 16:30. The price is not particularly low, but all things considered it's value for money (only 25-30% more expensive than a private room in a hostel), especially if more than one person is staying. All in all, a great option, if your budget allows it.

Airport shuttle [round trip]: I called the hotel for a pick-up from the airport, and they picked me up right at Gate 1. If you're not sure where Gate 1 is, you can ask the airport staff. In the morning, you just wait at the front desk to be taken to the airport to pick up your rental car. Facilities: The hotel has a long history, which is detailed in a description next to the front desk. Despite its age, the room facilities are quite good, and I'm very satisfied for the price.

All were good, the location is very near to the city center. Although the parking was a bit narrow, we were able to park in front of our unit safely. The kitchenette was rather small and dont have a complete utensils like chopping board, but we managed with whatever provided. There was no hood as well so when we were cooking, the smoke alarm went on for a while, we had to open our front door while cooking because the ventilation was not the best. But overall it was fine.
