Facilities: The facilities are excellent, with a bathtub and a small fridge. Soaking in the tub after walking 20,000 steps a day was incredibly relaxing, and you could even watch TV (though the TV programs seemed to repeat; I watched the same news two days in a row). It was a sea-view room, directly facing the Macau Tower, perfect for photos.
There's also an infinity pool on the 2nd floor, open at 8 AM. It's great for swimming, taking pictures, and checking in. Just remember to bring your room key card for registration. There are changing rooms and showers, and they provide slippers. The lighting in the morning is fantastic for photos.
Environment: The hotel is located inside a mall. There's a slope to get in, but you can avoid it by taking another route: from MGM, there's an underpass that leads directly to the hotel lobby (L floor). If you enter from the slope side, you'll be on the G floor, and you'll need to go down one escalator to check in. The location is close to MGM and Wynn, so you can easily use MGM's shuttle bus. I never needed to use the hotel's shuttle.
Service: The front desk staff was very thorough and attentive. A MOP 1000 deposit is required. I had seen on Xiaohongshu (a social media platform) that some people had deductions from their deposit, so I asked the front desk what was chargeable. The deposit refund was quite fast; I checked out at 11 AM and had already received it by the time I wrote this review.
The hotel also provides a set of discount coupons. I think they'd be quite a good deal for family trips (or at least for two people), but I was traveling solo so I didn't use them.
Both the G-floor exit (next to Pop Mart, where food deliveries are also picked up) and the L-floor exit have staff guiding guests and helping to call taxis. However, I didn't think it was necessary, haha. I took the elevator directly to B2, followed the signs, and asked for directions to MGM (thanks to Xiaohongshu tips) to catch MGM's shuttle bus to the airport. It cost 0 MOP, and the bus ride was about 20 minutes, with two stops at border crossings – very convenient.
This is an older hotel. Although it was renovated in 2018, some rooms were still undergoing renovations during my stay, and the facilities genuinely show their age. I was given a room on the 19th floor, despite specifically requesting the 31st floor when booking. At check-in, the hotel lobby informed me that the higher floors were under renovation, which was not communicated to me at the time of booking and felt a bit inappropriate.
On a positive note, the housekeeping staff's service-mindedness was excellent and deserves a special mention.
The front desk staff, Erica, Delia, Ying, and Leo, provided excellent and enthusiastic service. The hotel itself is great, but the smart toilet in the room is a bit too sensitive. It startled me when it suddenly activated on its own! It would be perfect if that could be improved!
A good hotel at an affordable price with a very good location. The center of old Macau is very convenient to walk. I would like to mention the excellent cuisine, the breakfasts and dinners are good enough. The disadvantages are: the hotel is very worn out, in our room there was a slight smell from the sewage, also water leaked from the shower hose, which made the water pressure poorly regulated, the hinges of the doors in the closet creaked more than your grandmother. And of course the lack of bottled drinking water- as many people note. The service was out of a surprise, as we noticed that a child was having a birthday, and as a nice bonus, we were given two apples and an orange. I'm sure you would have received more treats in a school cafeteria. Overall, it was a decent stay if not compared to other 5stars hotels.
The Rocks Hotel in Macau boasts an elegant design and is conveniently located next to Fisherman's Wharf, offering expansive sea views. The rooms are comfortable and clean with modern facilities, providing excellent value for money. The service is warm and attentive, and transportation is very convenient, making it easy to reach Sands Casino and the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal. It's an ideal choice for those seeking both tranquility and convenience.
The facilities here are incredibly comprehensive, and the concierge service is top-notch. From the moment we stepped out of the car, everyone was so welcoming and guided us every step of the way. They even have a fun check-in game, though our time was a bit too short to complete all the tasks – we'll definitely have to come back for that! The hygiene was impeccable, and the ambiance can only be described as opulent and very British. We ordered breakfast in the hotel, and the service was outstanding; the service fee was absolutely worth it. The breakfast portions were huge; my child and I couldn't even finish it all. The family room was incredibly comfortable, and my child was thrilled with the complimentary small toys. I spent ages choosing a hotel and saw a lot of negative reviews, but after actually staying here, I honestly have no idea where those bad reviews came from. Shopping is super convenient, and there's a free hotel shuttle to other places. They even thoughtfully tell you the shuttle times. The lady who checked us in was exceptionally beautiful and gentle. After we finished the check-in process, she even walked us to the elevator, afraid we might get lost, and introduced us to all the hotel's offerings: where to eat, where to shop, and where to catch the bus for excursions, including the bus schedule. All in all, it was a truly delightful trip. Macau gave us so many surprises, and my only regret is not staying longer. Next time, I'll definitely allocate more time to Macau. It's so clean everywhere and perfect for quietly appreciating your surroundings and unwinding. I've already shared my itinerary with my colleagues at work, and they've decided to follow my route! The hotel environment is excellent, and the bathtub was very clean. After a quick rinse, my child played in it for two hours and had a blast. Both the children's bed and the adult bed were very comfortable, and the soft pillows were great – they even have specific ones for sleeping and for leaning against. As for power outlets, they were all standard mainland China plugs, which was great. I had even bought an adapter, but didn't need it in either Hong Kong or Macau; Hong Kong hotels provide them, but in Macau, you can plug directly in. My stay at The Parisian this time was fantastic, looking forward to the next visit! Because I had to take a ferry back to Shenzhen and wasn't sure how to get there on my first visit, I called the front desk. They transferred me to the concierge, and everyone was incredibly enthusiastic and detailed, better than many apps. All my questions were answered. I called the front desk several times, and they were always so detailed and resolved all my issues. Loved it! Thank you!
Two tickets to Studio City Water Park: No queues at all! The experience was fantastic, with lots of indoor and outdoor attractions. The water coaster offered a great sense of weightlessness, and the big wave ride was also a lot of fun. The water was exceptionally clean and indeed kept at a constant 30 degrees Celsius, making it perfect for summer splashing.
Cleanliness: The place was spotless, with sparkling clean windows. The room wasn't huge but had everything you needed: a desk, coffee table, and bedside tables – small but perfectly formed.
There's a food court right downstairs, which is super convenient for eating and drinking.
The room was incredibly spacious and spotless, and the garden view room was a definite highlight! The service staff were all very polite, and the breakfast buffet offered a fantastic variety of dishes, with a great dining atmosphere to boot. It's also super photogenic! The location is really convenient, close to all the attractions, and the hotel even provides complimentary shuttle service. I'll definitely choose Shangpu Hotel again for my next trip!
Genuinely, I stayed at quite a number of hotels in Macau but this one was my favorite 🤩, the location is perfect, taxis pass by almost every 10 mins, they have a free shuttle bus, the pool area is beautiful, the gym is 24/7, the rooms are clean and beautiful, the service was good but only for some staff members, some staff members seemed a bit arrogant, I remember I called in to ask for some medicine, I know the hotel doesn’t have medicine but little help would have mattered such as helping the guest purchase and I can Pay for the extra help but the only thing they told me was to go to the pharmacy and I didn’t have strength to even walk, I felt like I was going to faint and I didn’t know anyone within Macau, it was only one of the staff members, that over heard my conversation with the other staff and offered me some medicine and even gave me water and kept checking up on me, I really appreciated that so much because I don’t know how I would have left the place without his help, I wish i remembered his name but the medicine was from Philippines so I assume he is from the Philippines. Away from that I remember Charles too, who also had good customer service, overall the hotel is good but other staff members need to pay more attention to service.
First off, the room was absolutely massive! In Macau, where space is a premium, the W really isn't shy about giving you room to breathe. We could spread out our suitcases without them getting in the way, and there was a separate lounge area with a super comfy beanbag chair. The bathroom had dual sinks, and the shower was incredibly spacious too. But what really blew me away was the night view from the window! We were on a higher floor, right opposite the bustling Taipa district. When the lights came on at night, it was like the whole city transformed into a dazzling galaxy – the '8' Ferris wheel at Studio City, the Parisian Eiffel Tower... it was all there. Turning off the room lights and sitting by the window, watching the trails of car lights, felt truly magical and made for some amazing photos! And I have to rave about the breakfast! I honestly didn't have high expectations for hotel breakfast, but I was completely won over by the seafood congee. The congee base was incredibly smooth, and they were incredibly generous with the fresh prawns and scallops – I had three bowls! There was also freshly made wonton noodles with perfectly springy bamboo noodles. They even had Portuguese egg tarts and Serradura (sawdust pudding), so breakfast felt as satisfying as an afternoon tea.

Very Good
We celebrate here my daughter 8th birthday and the room was so big and the balcony view was do good. Love their services from check in up to check out.
My 2nd & 3rd visit in staying here at Studio City. My very 1st time in Macau was a hotel next street. Many restaurants in Studio City from basic dining to fine dining all under 1 roof. Most Suitable for young kids to old folks. We strongly recommend to stay here.
Staying at Harbourview Hotel Macau for 15 days was a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, offering stunning views of the harbor and easy access to nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The amenities, including the pool and fitness center, added to the convenience and relaxation. Breakfast options were diverse and delicious. Overall, Harbourview Hotel Macau offers great value, combining comfort, service, and a prime location. I highly recommend it for both leisure and business travelers looking for a memorable stay.
It is a great hotel with view. Like all other hotels nearby, it is huge. Walking within the hotel can sometimes be tiring. It is connected by foot bridge to Parisian and Londoner hotels. Lots of high end shops. It is a bit too many to my opinion. One issue of this hotel is the sound proof. You can actually hear other guests in the room. Although there is no cigarette smell in the room, I do smell that in the lifts left over by the guest breath. I don’t think anyone actually smoke in the lift. Otherwise, the staff are very helpful. BTW, the Eiffel Tower offer is nothing special. It is free to visit to the viewing platform at 7th floor to everyone. To go to the top is not included. Hotel bus transfers between ferry ports and borders are free to everyone, not just the hotel guests. All hotels in the area offer the same.
The room we stayed is big and it has everything we need included. The location was convenient and we could easily travel from one place to another on foot.
Amazing hospitality of the staffs from the reception (alice) and the ambassadress (diane), the joyful vibes of each of them. The housekeeping (lorence) who really make effort to help us bring somethings to the room even its not his work, greetings and welcoming vibes. Thankyou galaxy for the amazing experience , a luxurious hotel indeed! From The Grand Resort Deck and Galaxy kids edutainment a very high recommended for family. You dont get bored, everything is exciting and amazing. Thankyou again for all the amenities and effort. Till our next visit.
Lovely luxury feel for a lower budget. Corner room was lovely, had a view of the race course from our room. Mini fridge and water was well stocked. Reception were attentive and provided extra amenities (ie cutlery) upon request. Clean communal areas. The products provided in the bathroom felt luxurious. The do not disturb / door bell system was simple to use.

The hotel staffs are super friendly, helpful and always have a nice smile on their face. Anne was the one to showed us to our room she was very helpful n patient to explain every single detail in the room to us. Location wise is super good and can easily excess to many places .
