As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel. However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

This was my first stay at the Shenzhen Marriott Hotel, and honestly, it was a mixed bag – some good, some not so good. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were excellent, very friendly and helpful. However, the staff at the entrance and the bellhops were quite disappointing. They weren't proactive in assisting guests, and for a hotel, the first impression often comes from the entrance staff. This really detracted from my overall experience. The front desk staff were polite and said everything was fine, but the baggage handlers were truly awful. On the positive side, the dim sum at the restaurant was exceptional. So, if I ever consider staying here again, I'll definitely have to think long and hard about it. I honestly don't understand how a five-star hotel can have such a stark difference in service quality. For a first-time guest at the Marriott Shenzhen, it was certainly a memorable experience, but not entirely for the right reasons.

Overall, a great stay. The hotel is ideally located in Futian CBD, surrounded by unique dining options and with convenient transport links. The stunning panoramic views of Shenzhen's vibrant nightscape are truly a luxurious experience. The staff were warm, attentive, and demonstrated exceptional professionalism and high-end service, and the food selection was plentiful. I highly recommend it for both business trips and leisure vacations!

Our stay in the garden view room was delightful. The elegant decor and soft furnishings created a wonderful ambiance. The room was well-ventilated, with no dampness or strange odors, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The entire resort boasts beautiful scenery; the flamingo viewing area and dolphin pool are perfect for snapping Instagram-worthy photos. The hotel's water park was far less crowded than the one at Ocean Kingdom, making for a much more enjoyable experience. Strolling along the seaside promenade at sunset was simply breathtaking, creating an absolutely magical atmosphere. The room cleaning standards were impeccable. The floors, windowsills, nightstand crevices, and even the bathroom glass were spotless, free of water stains or hair, and the bathroom had no unpleasant smells. All the bedding was fresh and new, with no stains on the pillows or mattress. The room's private balcony provided excellent ventilation, effectively mitigating any dampness from the sea. The hotel's yacht shuttle service offered a unique experience, transporting us directly to Ocean Kingdom. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a culinary delight, with surprisingly delicious dishes made from fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly, and their service was prompt and attentive. At the buffet, all tableware was high-temperature sterilized, the food was neatly arranged, and staff were quick to clear table waste. The front desk staff were thorough in their communication, checking in on our stay and promptly resolving any issues. This vacation was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating, with thoughtful details showing genuine care. Our stay was absolutely perfect. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely be back if I get the chance.

The room was spacious, and the afternoon tea was exquisite and delicious. Due to the rain, we had the buffet dinner directly at the hotel, and the food was fresh and tasty. Our butler, Holly, added me on WeChat in advance. Since we had two babies, she helped arrange bed rails for us. Her service during our stay was attentive, and she proactively asked about our needs – it was excellent! We'll definitely choose to stay at Angsana again next time we visit Zhuhai.

The hotel amenities are pretty standard, but the location is great with lots of food options nearby. Plus, they offer free afternoon tea and late-night snacks. However, the soundproofing is terrible. On the first night, I stayed in a city-view room and it was incredibly noisy – I barely slept. 😓 After complaining to customer service the next day, they moved me to a river-view room. It had an amazing view directly overlooking the Canton Tower and Liede Bridge. The soundproofing was a bit better on the river-view side. Kudos to customer service for their quick response!

The overall value for money was excellent and worth recommending to friends and family. There were plenty of restaurants and shops along the street, making dining convenient. With dining and accommodation integrated, and easy access to shopping and attractions, there's no need to travel far. The entire stay was smooth and hassle-free. It was a perfect experience, and this will definitely be my go-to for future vacations. Highly recommended.

The weather was hot, so a few families grouped together to escape the heat here. The rooms were spacious enough, the river view was expansive, and the pool was quite open. The pool is on the top floor and is divided into three areas: the curved shallow area is constant temperature, while the round side pool and the large infinity pool have cooler water, which is perfect for summer. PS: It was so comfortable, even adults lounging on the side enjoyed a cool breeze with no mosquitoes! The kids' play area was smaller than expected, suitable for 1-3 year old babies. We'd definitely revisit this hotel just for the pool and the rooms!

The hotel itself is a destination, and I've now checked another one off my list. Traveling from Shanghai to Zhuhai, then taking a ferry to Dong'ao Island, perhaps the journey itself is the meaning of travel. Before this, I had the pleasure of staying at Alila Wuzhen in Jiaxing. Its watery labyrinth, minimalist aesthetic, and profound sense of negative space left a deep impression. It truly embodied the philosophy of design adapted to its surroundings, an extension of Eastern aesthetics. Now, Alila Zhuhai, with its concept of 'scenery within a mirror, a mirror within scenery,' makes it worth enduring the long and tiring journey to experience this 'paradise' on Dong'ao Island.
