This hotel definitely feels like a blast from the past. I saw a lot of reviews saying that before I booked, and it's absolutely true – it seriously feels like stepping back into the 80s. The facilities are quite old, and the cleanliness is just about what you'd expect for the price. The location was convenient for me, as it's right near where I was working for my business trip, which is why I chose it. Overall, the hotel service is actually very good, and the breakfast spread is fantastic with a wide variety of options. There's plenty of parking available, and it's free for hotel guests.

The location is fantastic! It's right across from Jinlong Plaza, which was super convenient for dining and shopping. Plus, it's very close to the Summer Resort. However, the room itself was definitely nothing special. The bathroom had a strong drain smell, and the room felt quite damp. On the bright side, the front desk service was excellent. During my 3-night stay, I managed to visit the Summer Resort, the museum, Mini Potala Palace, Hammer Peak, and Jinshanling Great Wall. Overall, despite the room issues, I had a very good experience.
Nearly ten stays in two years, turning this hotel into a warm haven I call home.
Nestled amidst the hustle and bustle of Sports South Street in Shijiazhuang, the Venice Water World Hotel is, for me, far more than just a place to stay. Over the past two years, eight (closer to ten now) visits have instilled in me a unique sense of familiarity – a feeling of stepping not into a hotel, but returning to a familiar and warm home every single time.
My first choice was probably due to its excellent location and the allure of 'Water World,' but what keeps bringing me back is that indescribable 'home' feeling. From the moment I push open the hotel doors, the familiar Baroque-style decor greets my eyes, a faint fragrance permeates the air, and the front desk staff always know my surname, greeting me with a 'Welcome home, Mr./Ms. X,' instantly melting away my travel fatigue.
I absolutely love the hotel's food; it's simply incredible! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 You must try their Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), and the breakfast spread is particularly rich and diverse.
The hotel rooms consistently maintain a reassuring level of cleanliness and comfort. The bedding is just right for a good night's sleep, and the soundproofing is excellent, allowing for peaceful nights even in the bustling city. What touches me even more are the subtle touches of care: the humidifier, eye masks, and earplugs always available in the room are a godsend for someone like me who has specific sleep environment preferences. With each stay, I notice small updates to the room facilities, perhaps a new decorative item or upgraded toiletries. This continuous dedication makes me feel the hotel's relentless pursuit of quality.
And 'Water World' is always a highlight I must experience. After a day of work or sightseeing, soaking in the hotel's bathhouse or swimming a few laps in the heated pool makes all fatigue disappear. The bathing facilities here are well-maintained, the water is clear, the environment is elegant, and the staff are always there when you need them, without being intrusive.
What I find most unforgettable is the hotel's personalized service. I remember one time I accidentally left a coat in my room. After contacting the hotel, they not only kept it safe but also proactively arranged for it to be couriered back to me. This sense of responsibility and thoughtfulness made me feel completely at ease.
Over the past two years and nearly ten stays, the Venice Water World Hotel has witnessed my business trips and also accommodated my leisure time. It has never shown any neglect despite my frequent visits; instead, each time it has surprised me with new delights and consistent warmth. It's not just a hotel; it's more like a 'home away from home' in Shijiazhuang, a sanctuary where I can let my guard down and rest peacefully.
If you're also looking for a hotel that gives you that 'home' feeling, then the Shijiazhuang Venice Water World Hotel is definitely worth a try. Trust me, once you experience the warmth and service here, you'll feel, just like me, that it's your other home in Shijiazhuang.

The hotel room is spacious and clean, the breakfast is good, and it also has its own bathroom.
I stayed for three days in total. On the last day, there was a problem with the heating pipes. The hotel was afraid that it would be cold at night, so they took the initiative to change the room to a new hotel nearby in the same group. It was very thoughtful.
The hotel is located in the city center, with convenient transportation and ample parking spaces. It is not far from the Hebei Museum and many delicious restaurants. The room is large, the high floor has a wide view, the accommodation is comfortable, and the facilities such as the gym, swimming pool, and restaurant are complete. The free fruit and children's toiletries kit are very thoughtful. However, the hotel's furniture and facilities are a bit old, and perhaps due to the excessive work pressure, the front desk staff rarely smile.
The room was clean and tidy, the facilities were complete, the bedding was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and bright, and the overall feeling was very comfortable. The little girls at the front desk are very enthusiastic, and they will sincerely help when they encounter consultation problems.
I passed by the scorpion countless times and didn't stop to have fun. This time I took advantage of the Chinese New Year to take my family and children for several days. The most important thing is that this is a pet-friendly hotel. You can also take the kittens at home with you.
The hotel is located right next to the Hebei Museum in Shijiazhuang, literally just downstairs, and the surrounding shopping malls are also very close, which is super convenient. Everything about the hotel is top-notch. It's a landmark building, quite tall, offering great views of Shijiazhuang's night lights. The room was clean and comfortable, and they even provided complimentary drinks. The only minor downsides were that during the Chinese New Year, there were a lot of guests, so breakfast service was a bit slow, and finding a seat was a challenge. Other than that, I couldn't find any faults. The room facilities were also very new. Overall, my stay was incredibly pleasant.
The hotel is very new and the rooms are very clean and tidy. Good location, convenient for eating around. The price is very affordable and cost-effective. The breakfast is simple, but it's not too demanding at this price.
As always, this established five-star hotel is one of the best in Shijiazhuang. Since it wasn't too crowded during the May Day holiday, the prices didn't increase. When we checked in on May 3rd, there weren't many people. The front desk lady was very friendly and gave us three drink vouchers, which we used up that afternoon (see picture nine). We could get more the next day, so I just grabbed a coffee and a soda to go. I chose to stay at the Intercontinental in Shijiazhuang because reviews mentioned the breakfast was quite good, and it definitely was. We also tried some Banmian noodles, which were decent (that's the last picture). We were on a high floor, so the view from the window was quite open. Oh, and you can get free coffee and cookies next to the check-in counter. As for other facilities, as shown in the pictures, there were no complimentary welcome fruits, and all the drinks in the mini-fridge were chargeable, which is usually free in other hotels. We also went to the swimming pool these past few days. The pool isn't very big, but the water quality was good. On our last day, it was quite busy, probably with local kids taking swimming lessons. The pool water wasn't too cold, but some of the towels had holes, which goes to show the hotel has been around for a while. The hotel's cleanliness was good, and the bottled water provided was free, though there were also some chargeable bottled waters on the table. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Shijiazhuang.

We chose this hotel, located just over 4 kilometers from the ”Only Dream of the Red Chamber: A Theatrical Fantasy City,” specifically to see the show. My two girlfriends and I booked a triple room. The room was spacious, with separate wet and dry areas, and the shower, toilet, and washbasin were three separate spaces, making washing up convenient and undisturbed. The room's Wi-Fi was also excellent, making it easy to transfer and share photos after returning to the room at night. Overall, a fantastic stay!

CCocodaiTraveling with both the elderly and young kids, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to get away for the weekend. I had already set my sights on this hotel, and the drive here was smooth. The hotel grounds are lovely, very peaceful and comfortable. No TV is actually a genius move, really good! It really helped my family focus on relaxation and the outdoors.
The kids absolutely loved the private hot spring. They were a bit disappointed they couldn't go into the public one, so for 468 for 2 hours, we booked a private one for them to enjoy. It was fantastic, especially the little milk bath – so refreshing and cool.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were quite polite, and the room's decor felt pretty stylish. The breakfast selection was decent, and the taste was average. The surrounding scenery is quite nice, and it's pleasant to take a stroll outside. The parking lot isn't very large, so it can be tight during peak times, but access is very convenient.
HHansOlivierWe stayed in the Premier Balcony Seaview King Room and the sea view was really beautiful. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the fresh sea breeze. The weather was perfect, not too cold for mosquitoes and not too hot to feel sweaty. The room was very clean when we checked in.
However, there were occasional sudden whiffs of smoke coming through the vents even though it’s a non-smoking family hotel with signs everywhere. It affected the room quality a bit. We called hotel service and they offered to change our room, but we were too lazy to move so they quickly sent someone to set up an air purifier for us, which was really nice.
The breakfast was excellent with so many options from Western to Chinese cuisine. The only downside was the lack of meat choices; we only saw bacon, pork sausages and the meat in the wonton soup. The gym was great and had everything needed for a proper workout. 💪 The pool was packed with kids in the afternoon so we didn’t use it.
Overall a very comfortable stay with a fantastic sea view. Would recommend! 😊 #ShangriLaQinhuangdao #SeaviewStay

GGuest UserThe self-check-in was fully automated, and it was right next to the ski slope, though that didn't really matter. The room was super well-equipped with an induction cooktop, microwave, fridge, and various kitchen utensils. There was even an oven, but I couldn't figure out how to use it. The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable, but it was alright for a short stay. It's really convenient to stay here if you're skiing at Genting, but getting to Wanlong from here is quite a detour.

GGuest UserThe room and women's lockers were clean, but there were many dirty towels left in the resting area next to the hot springs pools. Customer service at the front desk wasn't very good this time when we wanted to go to the hot springs. The man working the front desk took a long time finding someone to accompany us to the hot springs, and when a lady finally came to accompany us there, she took us back to our rooms, instead, even though we had clearly told the man at the front desk we wanted to go to the hot springs. The employees didn't communicate with each other clearly, nor did they use common sense. When I first asked the front desk employee to accompany us to the hot springs, he said no and waved us away, but I knew it was complicated to get there and he had to tell the hot springs we were hotel guests, like what happened when I had stayed there before. It's only possible to communicate using a translation app here, since no employee speaks a single word of English, even. The restaurant's electronic menu is only in Chinese, too, so we needed to use a translation app to read the menu, also. They didn't light up all the lights in the hot springs area tonight, so it was much darker than when I had come here before. Regarding our hotel room, the refrigerator didn't work, even though it was plugged in, and the mattresses were hard.

SSinkershiyiFacilities: As an older hotel, the facilities are indeed quite dated. It's fine if you're looking for a nostalgic experience, but it falls short compared to modern smart hotels.
Hygiene: Overall, it was relatively clean, but it felt a bit old and worn as soon as I entered.
Environment: The location is quite good, just a short walk to the beach. Many rooms also offer direct sea views. The hotel lobby still has a grand feel.
Service: The staff are quite professional, and the service is decent. However, the hotel's amenities themselves aren't great. For example, the complimentary movie viewing is actually in a small, old room with a projector. The main issue is that the internet speed is terrible, making it practically unusable. I'm not sure what the point of this 'perk' is.
Transportation: It's fairly convenient, and there are a decent number of parking spaces, though it might be difficult to park during peak season.
Food: The breakfast experience was average, nothing memorable. The complimentary late-night snack was quite stingy. It can't even be compared to the late-night porridge at Atour.
Value for money: I'd only recommend staying here during the off-season if you want to be close to the beach; I wouldn't highly recommend it at other times.

Uuljjatxa121I stayed for two nights during the Qingming Festival, and the service was excellent. After booking, a butler contacted me to register my car plate number and other details. The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to a mall with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. It's also just a few kilometers' drive from Xiong'an Xinma Forest Park. Let's talk about the facilities first: I went with my child, and there's a playground in B1. They even added an extra 'naughty castle' during the holiday, which my child absolutely loved. The children's play area is quite small, really only suitable for one to two-year-olds to play in briefly. The two building block tables had a limited number of toys, so I'd suggest adding more. There are also some electronic entertainment facilities that require tokens to play. There are two heated children's pools, but they are a bit small. I wouldn't recommend going if it's crowded, as it would be like 'dumplings in a pot.'
Next, breakfast: if you go around 9 AM, you'll have to queue for about 15 minutes, but they opened two restaurants, so the efficiency was still decent. I only had breakfast at the Chinese restaurant. The variety wasn't extensive, and the taste was average, but it was sufficient.
Finally, the rooms: we stayed on the 8th floor and booked two rooms. One of them still had a bit of a new renovation smell. After I mentioned it to the butler, they promptly brought an air purifier and even a fruit plate as an apology. Anyway, the service was quite reassuring. I'll definitely stay here again when the weather gets warmer.
