We had a perfect stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou!
The suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, consisting of two connected rooms. One room featured a king-size bed, a large living room, and a luxurious bathroom with a huge bathtub. The second room had two single beds, which was perfect for our two adult children.
The layout was very thoughtful, with two separate bathrooms and toilets, plus an additional guest toilet in the living room. With four of us staying together, we never had to wait for the bathroom — a huge convenience!
The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and a pagoda, making it feel like a scenic attraction in itself. As a special bonus, the hotel provided a complimentary 60-minute Hanfu experience, allowing us to take wonderful photos around the property.
Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful that you could easily spend a day exploring the grounds without leaving. Another thoughtful touch was that each room was provided with an entire carton of bottled mineral water, which was greatly appreciated.
Overall, an exceptional stay with spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Suzhou!

Traveling with my family, we chose this hotel, and the environment was really good. The location is convenient, just 100m from the subway station, and Shantang Street is only a few minutes' walk away. The front desk service was also very thoughtful; it was Dragon Boat Festival today, and they even gave us sachets with mugwort leaves. The room facilities are quite complete, with a separate refrigerator. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

The location is fantastic, with a bustling view of Xinjiekou right outside the window. What impressed me most was the service – friendly, polite, and incredibly responsive. The dining options exceeded expectations; the breakfast was diverse with Nanjng specialties, and the formal meals were exquisitely prepared. The room was well-maintained, clean, and the bedding was comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience.
The service was excellent, and all the staff were very friendly and responsive. We had dinner at the hotel, and the food quality was surprisingly good. I especially want to commend the Jia Restaurant on the 56th floor of the Asia Pacific Tower. On our first night, we tried their mini hotpot, and the two single sets were more than enough for two people. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic, promptly helping with drinks, clearing plates, and cooking items. We also loved the buffet selection! We had such a happy meal! The next morning, we debated between the ground floor breakfast buffet and the 56th-floor one, but decided to go back to the 56th floor – and we were so glad we did! It was another wonderful experience, feeling right at home. There were many dishes available in the morning. For instance, a waitress kindly cut the Jinling large meat bun for us so we could each have half, which we really appreciated. A big thank you to CY and MYF from Jia Restaurant for their attentive service. The view was also excellent; we could see the beautiful city from our seats. All in all, I highly recommend trying it! I truly appreciate such thoughtful service!
We booked afternoon tea at the Executive Lounge, which featured a beautiful birdcage design. The happy hour's light dinner, part of the executive benefits, was also delicious! I had previously celebrated a birthday at Meiyuan, so this time, I decided to try the Pacific Western Restaurant before checking out, which also offered a beautiful setting and attentive service. I feel like I'll be back very soon just for the delicious food.

Highly recommended! Before checking in, I thought it was an old hotel and didn't have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. Although the decor is over 10 years old, all the facilities are of good quality. The furniture, carpets, and bathroom fixtures, though a bit dated, had a better feel than what was shown in the promotional pictures. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent! The cleaning was very thorough, and the room had fresh air with no strange odors (no old room smell). The room also offered an open view and was quiet!
The front desk and restaurant staff I encountered during my stay were very helpful and efficient in handling requests and resolving issues. You could tell they were well-trained!
Considering the location, service, and quality, it offers great value for money!
Suggestions for improvement: There was only one tissue box at the washbasin. I recommend placing another one in the bedroom area. Also, it might be a good idea to periodically check the seals in the shower and toilet partitions, as there was a minor leak one day.

I brought my family here for a birthday celebration. The hotel arranged a birthday setup and gave us a small cake, which was delicious!
**Appearance:** The cruise ship design is quite unique, and right across from it is the Gate of the Orient. It's lovely to take a stroll on the boardwalk in the evening.
**Interior:** The hotel is a bit older, so some rooms might have a slight odor, but the staff promptly addressed it, which was decent. The sanitation facilities were clean.
**Service:** The staff, including those in the breakfast restaurant, Zhenlu Yi Hotpot, and the doormen, were all incredibly warm and polite. (The coffee bar staff, however, were a bit lacking.)
**Breakfast:** It's a mix of Chinese and Western options. While the variety isn't huge, everything tasted great, especially the Suzhou-style Aozao noodles! They were so good I had two bowls! There wasn't much fruit though.
**Toiletries:** They use BORGESE products, with an orange scent, which was very pleasant.

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone!
Facilities: The whole place is smart-enabled, very responsive and convenient.
Hygiene: Extremely clean, not a single flaw to be found, both in the room and public areas.
Environment: Thoughtfully designed and very trendy in its decor.
Service: The service is what I'm most satisfied with. Every single staff member greets you proactively and offers assistance. We drove here, and the security guard on the first floor not only helped us without being asked but also gave us travel tips. He even quietly washed our car in the evening – I was truly touched. Every staff member we encountered over these two days made us feel incredibly welcome, adding a wonderful touch to our trip. They even gave us a farewell gift when we checked out. If I ever come back, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Breakfast was very diverse and plentiful.

The owner is super nice! Even before I landed, they sent me directions. I exited the subway at the wrong spot, and the owner personally came to pick us up. They even upgraded our room for free! The facilities and environment are excellent, fully automated. Even for a bottle of water, the owner doesn't skimp, using good brands, and also provided drinks and Coke. For such a friendly price and such attentive service, it's worth anyone staying here. I'm leaving this review from the heart, definitely not a shill!

💕 Beyond expectations: The service staff at Shangri-La were all incredibly friendly and helpful! Also, the Jiangnan灶 Huaiyang Cuisine restaurant on the first floor was fantastic; not a single dish disappointed. We stayed for two nights and ate there twice, ordering different dishes each time, and every single one was delicious. Definitely worth a visit.
💕 Disappointing experience: The Coffee Xuan buffet breakfast offered a wide variety, but the taste was just mediocre. The soup dumplings, which were highly praised in other reviews, had no soup inside, and the skin of the xiaolongbao was a bit tough, on par with average takeout xiaolongbao. When I asked a server, I was told that only freshly made ones would have soup, but none were being made at the time (I went around 7:30 AM). The shrimp and noodle soup I ordered even had leftover wonton skins from previous dishes. The restaurant itself is on the second floor with no view to speak of.

I've stayed at many InterContinental hotels, and I can confidently say that InterContinental Nanjing is my top choice for hosting friends or for business needs. The reason is simple: it consistently meets luxury hotel standards. This recent stay was, without a doubt, my most satisfying.
Since I'm a regular guest, I always coordinate with my butler, Alice, beforehand, and this time was no exception. Alice thoughtfully arranged an upgrade to a lake-view suite and even prepared a personalized room key with my name on it! 🥰 This made me incredibly happy. I really need to commend the concierge team at InterContinental Nanjing. They're always impeccably dressed in their concierge uniform, swift in opening car doors and handling luggage when I arrive or depart, and consistently stationed at the entrance, ready to assist. Their service throughout is efficient and professional, yet always warm and friendly, with a welcoming smile.
The check-in process was smooth. The hotel's public areas and rooms have an 'old money' aesthetic, evoking the glamour of the millennium's golden age with its dazzling lights. While some might find the facilities a bit dated, I personally enjoy this classic, refined style. The views are excellent, offering a panoramic overlook of Nanjing. The hotel's central location means everything is close by. Xuanwu Lake, Fuzimiao, Sycamore Avenue, and Deji Plaza are all within about a ten-minute drive. This is a significant reason why I choose to stay here when hosting friends – after all, no one wants to spend a lot of time stuck in traffic. The Zifeng Tower is also a Nanjing landmark, and admiring it from Xuanwu Lake offers a unique glimpse into Nanjing's beauty. The hotel breakfast is delicious, though unfortunately, I'm not much of a food critic, so I can't give an objective review like a food blogger. 🥲 I also want to praise Alice again. Because I stay here so often, I've known her for a long time. Whenever I need a pillow change or have any issues with the room, Alice always responds and resolves them immediately. I don't know about other butlers, but Alice's service is truly, truly exceptional.
Now for a small suggestion after all the praise: personally, I think the welcome fruit should be placed in the room before check-in, rather than guests having to bring it up themselves. Guests should feel fully respected upon arrival. But whatever the reason, whether for business travel, hosting friends, or a solo trip, InterContinental Nanjing remains a high-standard, high-quality hotel. I hope the hotel continues to strive for excellence, paying more attention to the small details, and always aiming to provide the best experience for its guests.
I frequently stay at this hotel. It offers a blend of elegance and comfort, with every corner of the room exuding warmth and coziness. The staff's meticulous care is impressive, and the impeccable cleanliness provides a sense of peace and security during your stay. This has always been my trusted brand hotel; it's consistently excellent. I've been staying here for years, always choosing it for my trips. The service is also very attentive and professional. Lily arranged my room in advance, and it was very quiet with great natural light, allowing for a really good rest. Being on a high floor, the large windows let in plenty of light. The Wi-Fi and TV worked perfectly. The room's decor is simple, modern, and very comfortable. The lobby is spacious, and the internet is genuinely better than other places. The card key access for the elevators really adds to the safety and peace of mind.

GGuest UserWe booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!
GGuest UserFood: Breakfast was varied, with western, asian and local. We had Dinner at the main buiding using ******* set menu and it was a good deal, as the 2 person deal is enough to feed 4 and tasted quite delicious.
Location: it is a resort so you are going to spend most of the time on the resort ground. We booked 3 day 2 night and the time was enough to explore everything. Nice scenery.
Amenities: only a few activities were covered in our package so it will depend on your package. The package was confusing and we didnt know exactly all the activities that were free or cost extra. The reception on check in should have explained all of this upon check in, but maybe they are not trained, or maybe because our accomadation at pinecone is considered 4 star so they used lower quality staff. All the free stuff are a bit lame and service was poor except for the craft lady who actually showed us a wechat app for the hotel where free activity voucher can be found. They outsourced the activity area so that is really poor decision as it hurts the brand image due to service levels. For hotel staff, thumbs up to the shuttle ladies, who you call to get from one place to another. They are prompt and speedy.
Service: check in staff was professional but not warm. As mentioned, the activity area is outsourced so most staff are cold and seemed rude, except for the craft lady who was actually decent. But considering this resort and the type of guest, i would consider this really bad.
Cleaniness: the room is very clean, a bit worn (see pics of wall), but it feels quite clean.

Very Good
DD0971****As other online reviews mentioned, don't expect much from the service here.
1. Usually, hotels have a butler escort you to your room and explain things, or at least wait at the door. On our check-in day, we arrived at our room to find the door open. A staff member in plain clothes suddenly emerged from the room, startling us. But that's a minor detail.
2. The public hot spring (gongtang) operating hours are 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. However, when we went at 9:30 PM, after showering, ready to soak, we were told the 'golden' spring (jintang) was already being cleaned and we couldn't use it. Why couldn't anyone warn us when we entered or while we were showering? They started cleaning a full hour before closing, and there were 3-4 other guests in the women's bath at the time; everyone just looked at each other in disbelief.
3. On Tuesday, before checking out, I wanted to have one last soak, so I woke up early. But when I entered the women's changing room, all the lights were off (the locker access card still worked, so the access control wasn't off, and there were no 'closed' signs at the entrance). I had to call the front desk myself to find out it was closed on Tuesdays. No one mentioned this to us during check-in or at any other time, and it wasn't in the check-in guide. So, we woke up early for nothing. The front desk said it was mentioned on Ctrip (it was, but in tiny font about seven or eight pages down).
There were also no compensation measures. When we checked out, there were even other guests who had driven over specifically for the hot springs, only to be told it was closed that day. They also made a wasted trip, so the unclear signage is definitely not an isolated incident.
Other than that, the value for money is quite good, and the private hot spring (sitang) fees are reasonable, though the private springs only offer the 'silver' spring (yintang).
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday at this hotel. The decorations were perfect for taking photos, and the service was thoughtful and warm. The security guard at the entrance even kindly told us about the shuttle bus to the ancient town and gave lollipops to the kids! The lantern show at Daguan Garden was absolutely stunning at night. Since there weren't many people, the kids had a blast running around the corridors. The complimentary travel photoshoot was great value for money, though posed shots aren't really suitable for young children, especially with two of them – props to the photographer for his patience! 😂 The Chinese New Year activities in the lobby were very entertaining. The indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, though not huge, kept the little ones occupied for a while. The heated pool's water was a bit cool, which could be improved. Overall, it's a great resort for families with both elderly parents and young children, and I noticed a surprisingly high number of seniors among the guests! 😝
GGuest UserThis hotel is nestled within the Seven-Mile Shantang Scenic Area, making it perfect for travelers who enjoy exploring at their own pace and planning their own itinerary. Since it's located in an ancient town, the paths are cobblestone, so those with heavy luggage (like me!) should take note. Don't rush; take your time and really soak it all in. The hotel itself is housed within the Jiangnan Weaving Museum, and it's absolutely beautiful! All the staff are very polite and the service is excellent. I'd recommend staying a few extra days to get the most value. There's so much to see and do in Shantang Old Town; make sure to walk along both sides of the river!
