This hotel is located right in the city center, making it incredibly convenient. The hotel's decor and materials used are clearly chosen with great care, and the service is exceptional. As soon as I stepped out of the car, someone was there to help with my luggage. From check-in to dining and then check-out, I was consistently greeted with friendly hellos, which was really nice. I even received a holiday gift when leaving. On the day I checked out, it was snowing beautifully, and the hotel is also very close to Ta'er Monastery. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel boasts an overall vintage French design, and the lobby's decor is elegant and stylish, creating a great ambiance. However, the facilities are noticeably outdated. The room interiors, appliances, and bathroom fixtures show clear signs of age and general wear, lacking proper renovation and maintenance.
The breakfast experience was quite disappointing. The selection wasn't extensive, and what really impacted the experience was that most hot dishes were lukewarm throughout, indicating very poor insulation, which significantly detracted from the taste.
On the bright side, the service deserves commendation. The front desk and concierge staff were warm, friendly, and highly responsive. They were very patient during check-in and with inquiries, showing great attention to detail. Overall, the hotel excels in service and its retro aesthetic, but there's significant room for improvement in both hardware and breakfast quality.

I booked this hotel for a quick getaway, mainly because as a five-star property with a pool and gym, the off-season price seemed very reasonable. Upon arrival, the experience was truly stunning! Our butler, Xiao Ai, contacted us in advance. Not only did we receive complimentary breakfast for our multi-night stay, but because it was the off-season, they even upgraded us to a 65-square-meter suite on a higher floor! The hotel's facilities, guest rooms, lobby, dining, and service were all genuinely five-star standard, truly exceeding expectations! The surrounding area is also very lively, with several commercial districts, some trendy and some more local, offering a wide variety of food and drink options. It was also very convenient for driving out of the city. Before we left, the housekeeping staff even gave us some adorable yak plushies, which we loved! This was the biggest little joy of our trip to Xining!
Very satisfied stay! The hotel environment is elegant and the public area is always clean and refreshing. The room is spacious and bright, the layout is reasonable, all the facilities are brand new and complete, there are table tennis and billiards to play, the room is meticulous, every corner is cleaned up, all the staff service is meticulous and intimate, friendly and friendly, the service is in place. It is quiet away from the hustle and bustle, the quality of sleep is very good, the overall is very satisfied, really good, highly recommended!
Really super satisfied stay! The hotel's sanitation has nothing to say, clean and refreshing, no smell, the bedding is skin-friendly and comfortable, the sound insulation effect is also very good, and the night is particularly quiet. The location is excellent and the transportation is convenient. The staff is warm and thoughtful, polite, full of details, especially cost-effective, has been collected, the first choice for next stay!
The main advantage is its location, within the Sky One scenic area. On clear nights, the stars are clearly visible outside the hotel. However, like many other stargazing rooms, the rooms are cramped and small, and quite cold at night. Whether you can see the stars from inside depends on your eyesight. The young man who brought water was very helpful; kudos to him. Also, they include entrance tickets to the scenic area, which is a plus.
The check-in experience is very good, the room is very clean, the front desk service is particularly good, catching up with Unicom is completely paralyzed, there is no signal, the front desk lady took the initiative to help change the room twice, thank you very much!
The hotel's carpets, room designs, and decor were all nice, showing that money was spent on these aspects, but the actual usability was poor. The double room faced the opposite room's window, resulting in poor lighting. The twin room had a mountain view and a good view. The facilities were rather strange: the hot and cold water taps were installed backwards, which took my family quite a while to figure out; there was no power outlet near the bathroom mirror, and the hairdryer had to be plugged in behind the door, quite far away; the towels were placed near the entrance, which was unclear. There was nowhere to put shower clothes and towels, making it a rather unusable hotel, but barely passable. Breakfast was unnecessary at the hotel; it wasn't very appealing, and ending at 9 am was a bit early. The cleanliness of the bathrooms and toilets needed improvement; at least hair should be removed.
The service was relatively good: when we informed the front desk that there was no water, they immediately provided it; the hotel also gave us a small gift, the yogurt which the children loved. Parking was free, but it was on the basement level, requiring a flight of stairs to reach the lobby.
This is my second stay at the Guanhu Hotel, and once again, its location and ambiance are exceptional, with great facilities to match. Being able to overlook Qinghai Lake from the hotel and enjoy the stunning sunrise from the terrace makes it the top choice for any visit to Qinghai Lake – truly outstanding! 👍
What truly stands out is the restaurant service. The food was delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. We arrived quite late, and they thoughtfully delivered our meal to our room. Great food, beautiful scenery, and good company – what more could you ask for? A special shout-out to the ******* sisters, Kua Benji, Gengzang Zhuoma, and Duojie Zhuoma, for their attentive and meticulous service during the meal delivery. They even promptly returned my wife's important crossbody bag, which she had left in the restaurant, leaving a lasting impression and earning our sincere thanks! 👍🌹
All in all, it was an unforgettable May Day trip to Qinghai Lake, and I will definitely be returning to Guanhu Hotel on my next visit!
