Gran Melia Xi'an

The hotel is located near the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (Datang Furongyuan), and the surroundings are lovely! The room is spacious! Great experience!

The room was very comfortable, with brand-new facilities, and was spotlessly clean. The location is great, very close to the Datang Lotus Garden. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and the check-in experience was wonderful.

Please note that the minibar is not free. I didn't see any clear price tags, so I felt their notice wasn't very obvious, which was a bit disappointing. However, the hotel did refund me a portion of the charges. When traveling, it's always best to be extra cautious. Other than that, it was alright—just your standard 5-star hotel. The toiletries like shower gel came in small bottles and were quite nice, which was reassuring. I came here specifically for the breakfast, and the noodles and Rougamo (Chinese hamburger) were pretty good. The room was cleaned every day; coming back tired to a neatly made-up room was a nice touch and made me quite happy.

My hotel stay was excellent; the room was clean and comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive. While staying at Gran Meliá, I also arranged a Hanfu photoshoot, which made the experience absolutely perfect. The hotel's garden landscape is elegant, with trees and rocks creating a beautiful scene at every turn. There's no need to rush out looking for photo locations, as the courtyard itself hides superb ancient-style spots. Wearing Tang Dynasty-style Hanfu here creates an incredibly immersive atmosphere, with the greenery and rocks perfectly complementing the traditional attire, resulting in a very high success rate for photos. The garden courtyard views are spectacular. The accompanying Hanfu photoshoot service was an added bonus; the costumes and styling were very professional and thoughtfully done. The photographer was patient and provided good guidance, and the garden setting made for a wonderful atmosphere. It's a one-stop shop for accommodation and photography, no need to run around. I highly recommend choosing this place when visiting Xi'an; you get both lodging and stunning photo opportunities, a win-win! Highly recommended!

The hotel is great, located right across from Nanhu Park, making it very convenient for an early morning stroll. The environment is lovely, and the hotel itself is quite spacious. The staff provides excellent service, and I even received a follow-up call from customer service after checking out. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay! Definitely recommended.

The room size was generally good, though the view from outside wasn't the best. I booked an executive twin room in the 'Shengshi Hongge' (Red Pavilion) and found the breakfast to be plentiful. The executive lounge benefits were also quite good, and the souvenir was a nice, creative touch.

Quite disappointed. The location is great, and the public garden areas are lovely. However, the room itself is old and severely run-down. The motion-sensor light was the biggest issue; it wasn't a soft night light, but a very bright one that was far too sensitive. It would turn on with the slightest movement, blinding me when I got up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, which made it impossible to sleep well. The Wi-Fi was also incredibly slow and kept lagging.

The room was clean and tidy, offering great value for money. A special shout-out to the housekeeping auntie, who was always warm and friendly, greeting us every time she passed by – it was truly heartwarming. The male staff member at the front desk who handled our check-in was professional and amiable, providing excellent service. The hotel arranged a room with a great view for us, and it was the best view we had among all the five-star hotels we stayed at during this trip. The lobby staff were polite and attentive, and the doorman at the entrance actively opened doors for us when we arrived and departed, and helped with our luggage. The location is excellent; it's a five to six-minute walk to Qujiang Ruins Park, which has a beautiful environment, and Datang Furong Garden is also just a five to six-minute walk away. There's also a shopping complex nearby, making dining, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment all incredibly convenient. The Cantonese restaurant within the hotel also offered delicious food. When checking out, the female front desk staff even specially prepared a suitable small gift for our little boy – the attention to detail was exceptional. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay! After comparing many options, we chose this European brand hotel, and indeed, based on my experience, foreign-owned hotels generally have an edge in service detail management. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. While other tourist services in Xi'an weren't great, our stay at this hotel was quite comfortable!

What I liked most about the hotel is that it has a small children's pool with a higher water temperature than the adult pool, which made it very comfortable for my child to play in. We mainly chose this hotel because of this small pool. The service and hygiene were excellent. We were upgraded to a garden view room, which was very quiet and had a balcony (though it only overlooked trees with no particular view). The bathtub filled up quickly, and the water quality was clean. The lights in the room were a bit strange; the bathroom light would turn on automatically if you got up at night but wouldn't turn off automatically, requiring a trip to the master switch by the bed. There's a deposit, but WeChat Pay and Alipay are accepted, so you don't necessarily need to use a credit card. The deposit was refunded about an hour after check-out. Breakfast was plentiful.
