Sofitel Xi'an on Renmin Square

The overall environment of the hotel is really nice, and the location is fantastic. While the hardware facilities are a bit dated, the exceptional service more than makes up for it. Zhang Man at the front desk was poised, professional, warm, and attentive. The only minor drawback was my own lack of photography skills. Overall, it's a great stay and definitely worth recommending.

The hotel has a great location, just a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and it's easy to hail a cab right outside. The surroundings are also quite nice. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and tidy—it's a well-maintained classic hotel. The service is very good. The downside is that the gap between the two beds in the twin room is too narrow, making the space feel cramped. Also, there is only one power outlet behind the bedside table on one side (used for the desk lamp), which makes charging devices inconvenient.

The location is super convenient, a rare garden-style estate within the ancient city walls. It's a peaceful oasis right in the bustling city, and the service is quite good too. For its price range of 400-500, it offers excellent value for money. The only downside is that the facilities are a bit old-fashioned, and there's no screen casting, but other than that, everything else is great.

This hotel is a government-affiliated guesthouse with an excellent location. This time, I stayed in the Prime Minister King Room, which was very spacious, probably around 50 square meters. It had a separate walk-in closet, and the bathroom layout was well-designed. The room's windows faced the inner courtyard, making it very quiet, and directly opposite was the Sofitel Legend. During the National Day holiday, it was quite busy, and you could see cleaning staff diligently working in the hallways. The front desk staff who assisted us, Luo Yadong, was very patient and resolved issues promptly. Thumbs up! 👍

The hotel facilities are a bit old, but Haiyan and Feifei were really attentive and nice. Overall, it was a good stay. I hope they can renovate soon to give the Sofitel a fresh new look.

We arrived at 12:00, and they allowed us to check in early, which I appreciated. However, the front desk told us we got a two-level upgrade, but the view from the room was awful. There were bugs and mosquitoes everywhere, and with no mosquito repellent or insecticide, it was impossible to stay there. On my first day, I specifically told the cleaning staff that I only needed fresh towels and trash emptied daily, with no room cleaning. Yet, on the third day, they still entered and cleaned the room. It seems they don't communicate guest requests effectively. Is this really a five-star hotel experience? I can understand if hotel facilities are old, but it felt very dirty, and there was no sense of proper maintenance. The price wasn't low, so I don't understand why it's so poorly kept! The transportation is also very inconvenient. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the subway station, and the walk back at night is deserted. The courtyard area is dark and quite spooky. For this price, you can definitely find a much better hotel! I was extremely disappointed this time!

The hotel environment is fantastic. It's a real oasis in the city center with a beautiful garden where you can stroll around, and every corner offers a picturesque view. The room was incredibly spacious and offered great value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always opening doors and assisting with luggage. The breakfast spread was extensive and delicious – absolutely worth it!
