Park Overview
The main entrance to Badaling Wildlife World is located on the north side, while at the southern end is Ark Square, which includes viewing areas and a temple. There are two paths leading from the north main entrance to the south square: one leads to the predator (mainly carnivores) area, and the other leads to the docile animal (mainly herbivores) area. The animals in both areas roam freely, allowing visitors to observe them up close. In the docile animal area, visitors can even open their car windows to feed the animals.
Tour route
The tour route within the park begins with viewing the predator enclosure, then proceeds to the plaza, where visitors can explore the animal viewing areas near the plaza, before returning via the docile animal enclosure, observing and feeding the docile animals along the way.
The zoo allows visitors to drive in, which is very convenient, but there is a fee for doing so. visitors without cars will need to use the zoo's public transportation. There are bus available for viewing the predators, or you can take the more open cage feeding vehicles. After visiting the plaza, you can walk back from the gentle animals area or take an electric cart.
Wildlife Zone
The predator enclosure is the first area visitors visit when entering the zoo. It includes areas for Siberian tigers, wolves, wild boars, lions and tigers, Malayan sun bears, brown bears, and black bears. Each area is separated by iron gates to prevent animals from getting mixed up. The gates open automatically when vehicles arrive.
You can observe the animals while driving or taking on-site transportation through this area. You can also feed the animals if you ride in one of the zoo's caged feeding carts. Please note that if you are driving through this area, be sure to close your car windows and lock your doors to prevent accidents.
Ark Square
Ark Square has several animal viewing areas, where you can see raccoons, meerkats, marmots, porcupines, and monkeys, among others. All the animals are kept in cages and can be fed. Behind the square, on the hill, there is also a small Buddhist temple that you can visit if you're interested.
Gentle animal area
On the return journey, you'll pass through a docile animal enclosure, primarily home to herbivores such as giraffes, sika deer, zebras, alpacas, and camels. You can stop to feed them; many animals will come running for food, which is quite entertaining. Along the way, you'll also pass a lake where you can observe pelicans, egrets, black swans, and other animals.
In addition, visitors can get up close to red-crowned cranes, peacocks, turkeys, gibbons, and macaws. Some of these viewing areas and feeding areas may charge extra.

Show More ReviewsThe scenic area wasn't too crowded, so I recommend driving there. You can feed the animals and get up close, which is a great experience. There aren't many different kinds of animals, but the overall experience was quite good.
