Harbin Xingsu Youth Hostel

Very good, the location is excellent, right next to the subway entrance. The ambiance is also great, with a nice vibe. The owner was very welcoming and patiently explained all the facilities.

This hostel boasts an excellent location right by the subway exit, making it incredibly convenient to reach almost all attractions. The cleanliness is outstanding; both the rooms and bathrooms are spotless. Linens are provided fresh upon arrival. The individual solid wood beds with small orange lamps create a really cozy atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and always happy to answer questions, and their restaurant recommendations were spot on. The beds on the third floor are reasonably priced and have air conditioning, which is a lifesaver in summer. I'll definitely be back next winter!

The location is great, very close to Central Street, and directly opposite a subway station. In the mornings, there are many breakfast vendors right outside the subway exit, making it very convenient to get to both Harbin Station and Harbin East Station. However, it's not highly recommended if you have large luggage, as there's no elevator, only three flights of stairs. Although, the host will help carry your bags up to the second floor. The facilities are decent; they provide disposable toothbrushes and one towel. Hairdryers and other amenities are also available. However, the restroom and shower are shared by both genders, and there's only one shower, so you'll need to use it at off-peak times. Also, the beds aren't bunk beds; they are all single lower berths. I noticed the mattresses and pillows weren't particularly clean, but they do provide freshly laundered bedding. You can also charge your devices, and there are small night lights. The privacy is only average because it's like a large dormitory, just with beds separated. Moreover, the women's accommodation on the top floor has no door lock or other security measures, only a curtain, which made me feel a bit unsafe. The sloped roof on the top floor also makes it easy to bump your head. Otherwise, everything else is fine.

The environment is absolutely fantastic, and the subway station is right outside, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. I even met some friendly international travelers, and we had a great time sharing a meal and some skewers. I'll definitely be back next time!
