Keeping in mind this is a hostel, the experience was overall positive. Very close to Berry Metro station and to a pretty lively neighborhood, but still quiet at night if one is looking for a calm and chill environment. No bed bugs signs, which I think its the priority. A relevant con is the pretty poor cleaning of the bathroom in the shared rooms, which should be improved. Common areas are not very big, very enough for everyone to use and enjoy at their discretion.

The good: location is really unbeatable. It’s close to the old city, and the 747 airport bus stops right across. Train stations and bus terminals are walking distance too. The staff is friendly and helpful, I got to check in a bit early. The rooms were big and had beautiful views - I loved watching the sunset.
However, I checked out early and couldn’t bare staying here one more night. It wasn’t that the room was cleaned poorly- that could have been fixed more easily. Instead, you could see the result of negligence over a period of time. The floor was so dirty I washed my feet before going to bed and putting on socks. There were particles of dust or something on the left side of my bed, under the covers - I noticed after getting a skin reaction. And the section of the bed where the sheets were tucked in was dirty, leaving dust and hair on the sides of the sheets. Some surfaces inside the bathroom weren’t cleaned well. Basically if you look closely anywhere there’s dust and dirt.
This is the first time I’ve written a negative review on any hotel, but I think the issues were seriously enough that they’re worth raising.
Nice friendly and simple hotel, no frills but great value. Has a nice indoor pool, breakfast is ok, rooms are small a little but comfortable.
Location is just a little off but still close to both downtown's of Ottawa and Hull .
I had an amazing time in the city of Montreal, with its vibrant atmosphere and lively summer spirit. From strolling through the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, where history meets modern charm, to enjoying the stunning views from Mount Royal, every day was filled with unforgettable experiences. The city’s festivals and outdoor events added to the excitement, making summer in Montreal truly special. Whether savoring the local cuisine, exploring the artsy neighborhoods, or simply relaxing by the waterfront, every moment was a perfect blend of culture, adventure, and relaxation. Montreal in summer is an absolute delight!
I would highly recommend this hotel, very classic, European style hotel, decent breakfast and a little gym that can get your whole body workout done. The room is very spacious and classic. Very friendly staff and I would definitely stay there again if I am in Montreal next time...
Give the river view room on the upper floor, the view is good.
The room is fully equipped and the bed is very good. It should be a university next to it, and there are many students staying on weekends.
There is free parking, you can drive in and out of the parking lot and swipe your room card. After you check out on the last day, you will leave a room card. After swiping the card out of the parking lot, you can put the card in a box of the road gate.
The hotel is a good hotel in terms of quality and price.
What I didn't like was the insonorization of the room, it's well heard people speaking in the corridor, and the noise of the window.
The air conditioning is noisy and it did not work at the last 1/4 of the night (2 times I get up due to heat)
The breakfast is really middle.
The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.
The staff at check in and check out were very friendly. The staff in the hotel were a bit grumpy. Overall, older but well maintained. Pool and spa was nice, loved the little birds.
One complaint is that most people want to exercise in the pool before 9am! By 9am my day as begun! Pool needs to open at 6am and stay open until at least 11pm. Consider making 9pm to 11pm adults only.
Excellent choice. Very clean room, helpful and friendly staff.
Location close to amenities, shops, and a mall.
Very decent breakfast.
Highly recommended.
A quirky little hotel that is directly on the main drag in Gatineau. The room was a good size, though the tiny bathroom left a lot to be desired; it was old, dated, and so small that the sink was in the main room.
The bed, however, was very comfortable and the desk/tv setup was great. Lots of convenient receptacles for plugging in phones and the like. The fridge in the cupboard made that cupboard very hot and I'd imagine those fridges won't last long as burnout must be a thing...
Weird, convoluted directions for getting to the hot tub from our room; make sure to leave a trail of breadcrumbs or you may be lost forever.
Front desk staff were professional and completely bilingual, which was very much appreciated.

GGuest UserThe location and staff of the hotel were great, but the facilities were very outdated. It was disappointing that when I looked out of the window, I could only see the wall, and as soon as I opened the door, the bed was right there, which was regrettable.
Due to the fact that there are three hotels with the same name in downtown, it is important to double-check the address and make sure you find the correct one.
GGuest UserThe location is within walking distance to main attractions.
The staff are friendly, polite and helpful.
Breakfast is plentiful and nutritional.
MMarley KThis hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well.
This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate.
I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.
LLittleMoonMoonGreat hotel with super affordable prices. They provide free breakfast, welcoming drinks and apples! What a surprise! The room is big, with comfy bed, desk, sofa…everything you need. With free parking lot as well. Better than the 4-star Hilton hotel nearby lol
AAnita2 hotels share 1 cramp breakfast room.found 1 3-inch screw by my bed and the kitchen wall is kind of under finish. Staffs in breakfast room is quick in weekday but only half the staffs are available in weekend.
Front desk ladys don't like to simile , so will try my rusty French next time.
Try to ask front desk for direction heading to VIA train station and she only know how to take Uber .
Hardware is fine but soft skill sets of the hotel may need to be reviewed.
SSwaggyzhuThis hotel offers great value for money. The room rate is reasonable, the facilities are complete, and the environment is clean and comfortable. The bed is a bit small, a bit cramped for two people. The front desk service is very enthusiastic, and the check-in process is very efficient. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the old town, and the breakfast selection is rich and of good quality.
GGuest UserDear Le Dauphin Hotel,
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful stay I had at your establishment. The warm welcome, the impeccable service and the quality facilities far exceeded my expectations. My stay was most enjoyable, and I would like to thank the whole team for their professionalism and kindness. I will not hesitate to recommend your hotel to my relatives and I hope to have the opportunity to return soon.
Cordially,
Godfrey
GGuest UserWe stayed for 4 nights and the location is perfect. It's in between two metro stations, both are about 6-7 mins walk (Champ de Mars, and Saint Laurent) depends which line you are in. We arrived by train and took the metro at Bonaventure (this is connected to the Central station: ”Gare Centrale”) and arrived at Champ de Mars. There is a supermarket 5 mins away (”IGA”) and the airport bus station is by the hotel. Chinatown is 7 mins away and make sure you visit Sammi dumplings. There is a food court (”Le Central”) 5 mins away although we found it slightly expensive. The Old Port of Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica are about 15 mins away from the hotel.
Facilities: As a number of people said, the rooms are quite basic and need a lot of uplift. Our room doesn't have any sofa (which was different from the pictures here) but functional so there is no complain. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans. We cooked our dinner twice.
Staff and service: all staff are friendly and very helpful, gave advice on directions and always have a smile.
