If you enjoy some quiet from the bustling city center, this place was perfect. Located 15 mins walk from the city center (it doesn’t feel that far honestly), the photos of the hotel are as shown in the pictures provided. The place is really clean and cosy.
Giara liaises with the guests ensuring every need is covered. She and the team have been so lovely and helpful throughout. They do prepare packed breakfast for whenever we had to leave early for our tours. Absolutely enjoyed our time at the stay
The biggest advantage is that it is very close to the train station. It takes a turn through the shopping mall in front of the station. The rail is in front of the hotel. Because it is the only town convenient for tourists to stay near the top scenic spots, the accommodation price here is high. When I came, it was not the tourist season of Machu Picchu.
The hotel has an excellent location, within walking distance of Plaza de Armas and major attractions. I especially loved the courtyard design of the hotel lobby; it had a wonderful atmosphere. The front desk staff were warm and friendly. Although the hotel rooms were just average, for around 300 yuan, it was the best value hotel I've had during my trip to the Americas!
With a stay at Central Market Hotel San Pedro in Cusco (Cusco Historic Center), you'll be steps from San Pedro Market and 9 minutes by foot from Plaza de Armas. This hotel is 0.7 mi (1.1 km) from Coricancha and 0.9 mi (1.5 km) from Twelve Angled Stone.
Make use of convenient amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and a living plant wall.
Enjoy a meal at the restaurant or snacks in the coffee shop/cafe. The hotel also offers room service (during limited hours). A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area.
Make yourself at home in one of the 16 guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.
The room was really nice, clean, large, and comfortable, but there was no central air conditioning or indoor air conditioning. However, because the temperature difference between morning and night in Cusco is very large, I checked in at midnight and the room was freezing cold. A small electric heater could not heat the room immediately, so I fell asleep when the room was very cold, and the room was slightly warmer until dawn. The breakfast was OK, and it was a bit noisy facing the street.
I saw that some previous guests said that it was difficult to communicate with the front desk, but I didn't feel that way. Some girls at the front desk could speak a little English, but with Google Translate, this is nothing. I saw that Ctrip showed that I was staying in the last room, so the price was very low, so I guess I got a bargain.
Staff at Tierra Viva were lovely and welcoming upon arrival, assisted with bags to our rooms, which were clean and comfortable. One of the rooms opened to a busy road, but shutters and double glazed windows allowed no noise, so we had a comfortable sleep. The buffet breakfast was great and you could some basic breakfast things including eggs made to order. We would definitely book again, thank you Tierra Viva~~
Run by a married couple. The hotel is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from the square in Cusco. However, it is on a hill and at a high altitude, so the air is thin, so keep that in mind. You can also take a shared bus from the airport to the square (if you have the energy, energy, and peace of mind). However, there was no hot water in the shower at first. Because of this, I had to contact her husband, who runs the hotel, every time, which was inconvenient. However, if there was anything, they would come to my aid via WhatsApp, and when I went to Machu Picchu, they let me leave all my luggage there, and they even secured a shared bus to the hydroelectric power station, so the service was excellent in that respect.
Very good hotel, the guy at the front desk is very helpful and can store luggage, the key is to leave the station of the small train to Machu Picchu very close, only a few minutes walk, breakfast fruit is also a lot
Great hotel, just a bit far off the usual areas. Best if you want to be close to the airport. It's around 20-30 minutes to the center. Especially with the traffic around.
Warm shower, good bed and bonus with a personal heater in the room. Sadly no blow dryer in the room. The tub spills out water so be mindful of this.

Very Good
It was a perfect stay. The rooms were lovely, clean and the beds very comfortable. The stuff was always very helpful, offer us a doctor and gave us good tips when we feel bad about the high. They brought our dirty clothes to a laundry and mad breakfast every day. The few was great and the b&b was close to the center but very quiet as well. I can highly recommend that place.
A small charming family in a traditional Cusco courtyard. Excellent home made breakfast, good shower, cable TV in room. Oner -manager Jose helped us with our tour bookings and places to shop nearby..his recommendation to a traditional Peruvian restaurant, Crajabel restaurant was excellent, Peruvian authentic food with reasonable prices, with a balcony overlooking a historic square. Much appreciation to the hotel owner Jose and his son Johan, for the assistance extended to us and going beyond their duties to be helpful.
A Very Reliable and Well-Located Base for Machu Picchu My stay at Hotel Pakarina was a very positive experience. It served as an excellent and comfortable base for visiting Machu Picchu. Here’s a detailed breakdown of my stay: · Excellent Location: The hotel is perfectly located. You are within easy walking distance of the bus station to Machu Picchu, the train station, and the central market. Most importantly, there are ample food options and restaurants available right near the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for meals. How to Reach from Airport Cusco Airport to ollantaytambo train station. Taxi charges 35 USD Time: 1.5hrs ollantaytambo train station to Machu Picchu/ aguas calientes train station: 135 USD return tickets, per person. Time: 1.45hrs Aguas calientes train station to hotel is on walk of 500 meters. Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu Bus available: 24 USD return ticket. Time 20min · Helpful and Friendly Owner: A major highlight was the owner. He was exceptionally helpful, offering great advice and guiding us on our tour plans. This local insight was invaluable and made our trip much smoother. · Good Daily Breakfast: The included breakfast was tasty and satisfying, providing a great start to the day. It's also the time when tea and coffee are served, so you can get your caffeine fix before heading out. · Clean and Tidy: Daily cleaning service is provided, and our room was always kept spotless. The hotel feels very well-maintained. · Convenient Currency: As noted, USD is widely accepted in the area at the market rate, which includes settling your bill at the hotel. This makes things very easy for international travelers. Things to Note: · No In-Room Tea/Coffee: Be aware that there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. You'll need to wait for the breakfast service or pop out to one of the many nearby cafes if you want a drink outside of those hours.
I stayed at this hotel twice; in between I went to Macchu Pichu and left the baggage at the hotel. Location wise - it’s very central with a PeruRail office next door albeit the other ones are not too far. Reception is 24hr and there is a nice courtyard with a restaurant as well as a common area with a kitchen at the back. I stayed in the Teepee tent on both occasions; first time the rate was more affordable at around gbp40/night. In July, the night gets cold. But the tent does have additional blankets and a heater. This worked except on the last night as it seems it stopped in middle of the night. Without the heater, the room was quite cold. The common bathroom is at the back; the showers are ok and you get enough privacy. I noticed the hot water does take a while to come through. I left the baggage in the storage - no issues. Overall good but for same price bracket I would try somewhere else.
A great hotel for visiting Machu Picchu. We were met right off the train with a sign. They explained and showed us everything. The room was excellent and large, with a huge bed. All the linens were dry, and there was no problem with hot water. You can leave your luggage; don't bring it with you to visit Machu Picchu. 👍
