Very nice gate to enter the old town
Porta Volterrana is one of the gates to enter in the old town of Colle di Val d'Elsa, a town in Tuscany Region, in the center of Italy. It is the main gate o enter and probably the most beautiful one....
Historical entry to old town. Big bastions with gate inbetween. Stone bridge leads us to gate. Very nice view from outside, where we can see this full view.
The is nothing as cool as a big castle. Known as Porta Nova (nuova)
Not sure about the name used here as it is better known as Porta Nova (nova = new in the original dialect language, and nuova is the new Italain language word). Regardless, castles are so cool, and I ...

Amazing 13th century village. Easy to walk the town
Wonderful sights of well preserved 12th century village. Nice shops and plenty of food options. Easy to navigate paths/streets
