Temple on a Hill
It's a short steep uphill climb on stairs all the way up. A lovely neighbourhood temple popular with visitors. Good views from the grounds. A short visit as the ground was not very big, not much to ex...
When a few temples or sanctuary have already been seen in Japan there are many that do not highlight for their greatness and almost all are equal, at least we do not appreciate great differences, all ...
I visited Zenshoji Temple, a few kilometers north of Gero Onsen, with my cousin and wife. There is free parking space. The time of autumn leaves was long gone, but maples and maples were still red in the precincts. The leaves of the autumn leaves piled up on the approach created a quiet atmosphere. There were about a few worshipers, and it was just right for a quiet walk. In particular, the autumn leaves such as maple trees standing around the garden and Kanekodo were wonderful.
A simple temple located just off the hot spring town of Gero to Takayama. Immediately after entering, I am overwhelmed by the Daruma painting of Sesshu. The temple building is widely opened and let you visit. Much better than the entertainment district of Gero Onsen. I need a car, but it's worth a stop.
