My Khe Beach

We had an enjoyable stroll along My Khe Beach during our stay in one of the beachfront hotels in Danang. My Khe Beach, known for its white sandy shores and clear waters, is one of the most famous and picturesque beaches in Da Nang. Thanks to its crystal clear water, the beach is a popular spot for swimming and water sports. My Khe Beach is also renowned for its long stretch of golden sands. The beachfront runs from the foot of the Son Tra peninsula to Ngu Hanh Son and is about 10 km long. #danangtrip It’s a great beach, but personally it isn’t for me. It’s clean and beautiful. There’s a lot of food vans/shops nearby. On the beach you can rent a sun bed. You can take some surf lessons or just rent a board. There are also jet ski’s. I didn’t like the fact, that there are a few designated places where you can swim and it always gets crowded. If you’ll want more space to swim then come at 12:00 (at that time locals usually sleep, because it’s too hot to go outside). Keep in mind that I came here in the summer, maybe in winter it’s always crowded.

#danangtrip I like this place a lot but it's kind of strange the way it's described by the owner. The view is of Đà Nẵng Bay (Vịnh Đà Nẵng) and Vietnamese people don't call the ocean in the distance “South China Sea“. They reject that label and instead refer to it as the "East Sea" or "East Vietnam Sea". Otherwise, a great place to bring our foreigner friends and introduce them to a view that many tourists never see. The area is mostly frequented by locals and tourists from other Asian countries. But this place does a good job of making English speaking visitors welcome.

The white sandy 20-mile stretch of My Khe Beach, considered Vietnam's most scenic beach, was called by American troops who went for R&R during the Vietnam War. #danangtrip My Khe is the central beach of Da Nang city. It's a long and sandy beach, pretty wide. Many hotels line it, just across a busy street. There're many free parts, as well some where's a bar and where you can rent sunbeds. Water is shallow for long, usually with waves. Try to get up early one day before sunrise, as the beach is east oriented. Apart beautiful scenery of the rising sun, you'll enjoy many locals around swimming, practicing tai-chi, jogging, exercising.
