Luau at the Royal Hawaiian Resort
It was nice to have a table just for my husband and I. Although we sat in the very back row away from the stage, we appreciated that because the volume of the speakers was just right for us. They had a pre-dinner demonstrations going on showing how they made Tara root poi, how they tattooed themselves, (and you took a picture with two handsome young men), how they made bark cloth, watermarked it and dyed it. It was a wonderful educational show with lots of history and dancing and singing. The food was phenomenal! The only downer was something out of the show's control. It started sprinkling towards the end of the show but there was rain ponchos handed out quickly.
Had a great time and loved the historical component. I would have given this 5 stars but sadly we were seated at the very back and didn’t have the best view.

This show was fantastic. No other word for it. Easily the best thing we have done in the five days we were here. Loved learning about the history and culture of the Hawaiian people with plenty of top-notch production values for all the song, dance, hula, and fire numbers. The “dancers” and singers were first rate. I cannot recommend this enough. The highlight of our trip.
