I was able to see it without being crowded.

I stopped by when I went to Toba with a Kintetsu ticket that includes admission tickets and tickets for various facilities. Since the number of buses from Toba Station is small, I think it is quite difficult for public transportation users to stop by. When I went, it wasn't crowded and I was able to see it slowly. The facility itself can be recommended.
It is about 15 minutes by bus from Toba, but it is a little far from the bus stop. On the day I visited, there was only one director, and there were no visitors and he played music for me. On the first and second floors, there are sculptures of the Maconde 々. There are many things that express sex, but I didn't get the same feeling. It's a pity that there aren't many people visiting even though it's a wonderful museum.
A museum lined with ebony sculptures and masks made by the Maconde tribe. The number of works was larger than I expected and it was impressive. There are also masterpieces carved from a single ebony, so you can enjoy the beauty of the modeling with a sense that is not familiar to you. African music was always played in the hall, and I was able to appreciate it while feeling a strange feeling of exhilaration (laughs) Recommended for those who like the Folk Museum in Osaka!
Two major laughing spots in Mie Prefecture along with the Louvre Sculpture Museum (?). From Meotoiwa, about 4 kilometers ahead of the National Highway 42 Route. The appearance is more like a construction company than a museum-like facility. Admission fees are usually 1, 000 yen with discounts and 900 yen. The exhibited works and the exhibition method are surreal or chaotic. You don't have to know African art or Maconde sculpture. I feel that human activities and actions are the same in Africa, Europe, America, and Japan, so I can laugh with my stomach. You can shoot in the hall and be hungry.
Somehow suspicious, but there are plenty of highlights!

A rare museum located less than 10 minutes by bus from Toba. It was about an hour and a half after watching it leisurely. The museum is lined up with works of art excavated from ebony, giving it a feeling of pressure. The characters are small, but the explanations were also substantial. Every work was carefully excavated one by one, and it was very spectacular. It seems that the tools are used properly to create a variation in how to shave. The subject is also rooted in the life of the Maconde and lives far away from their culture ...

You can take a leisurely tour.
