Makushi Nyorai is the principal image, and there is also a magnificent statue of Nio. There is also a thatched auditorium at the entrance to the top, which has a taste. It is one of the temples I definitely want to stop by.
It is a wonderful temple full of highlights. Must see! !!

This is a visit following Ryokoji Temple and Monjusenji Temple. I didn't recommend this place so much from the information of the rental car shop, but I heard that there is a national treasure, the Kokuto Tower, so I came here. (Actually important cultural property) The general name of the temples in the Kokuto Peninsula is Rokugo Manzan, but like Ryokoji Temple and Monjusenji Temple, this is also a really wonderful temple with a unique mountain religious culture. In the Kunito Peninsula, six villages ... in the valley extending radially from Mt. Ryoko in the center.
It is famous for the January revision demon party.

The autumn leaves were beautiful, but there were many other autumn leaves spots nearby, such as Monjusenji Temple, which was a little-known spot. The statue of Nio was not familiar with the Kunito Peninsula, but it is said to be the oldest in Japan. Next time I would like to come to the time of the correction demon party.
It is said that it is a temple where the revised demon party is held in the Kunito district. It is said that it will be held in the lobby in the middle of the stone steps. When you climb up to the top, you can see the scenery of 々 like a strange rock, and I think you will be interested not only in Buddha statues but also in natural scenery.
Rokugo Manzan Temple with lots of attractions, including the oldest and elegant nationally designated Important Cultural Property East Pagoda in Japan

The nationally designated important cultural property of Iwatoji Temple, which is a must-see at least once, is the Kokuto Tower and its Okuin of Iwatoji Temple. The Kokuto Tower is a treasure pagoda that is almost limited to the Kokuto region of Oita Prefecture. In general, the pagoda has no pedestal between the foundation stone and the tower, but the kokuto tower has a pedestal consisting of both sides between the foundation and the tower, and some of them are the largest features of the appearance. It is called a specific classification name. Iwatoji Kunitoto Tower is in front of Okuin, which climbed the stone steps of 150m on the approach, and ... on the cube of 2-3m.
