For garden lovers in the area
Built 1902 by a wealthy entrepreneur, it’s a small, Oishibugakuryu style garden, a common style in the Tsugaru region and characterized by utilizing locally sourced crude rocks, but there was also gre...
Kuroishi, Aomori Prefecture is a castle town with an old cityscape. This is a garden built in the Meiji era in the center. The atmosphere is good and I think it's a spot that goes well with Kuroishi.
We visited Morimien on Tsugaru Onoe, and was introduced at the Kuroishi Tourist Information Center that the park was now open, and after Komise-dori, we arrived in 10 minutes on foot. The entrance fee is 400 yen, and the staff will explain. The building is large, but you can see that a wealthy merchant made a garden with all his might. Especially, the pond is characterized by the shape of the four ponds with the characters "heart" when viewed from above.
A place you should never go sightseeing in Kuroishi. It is the worst place to go out of the way in the tourist facilities I have visited so far. I visited 2018/08/06. Even though I didn't have time, I was asked to cooperate with a questionnaire that crossed three sheets of paper, and when I crossed the stone bridge, the staff was warned, and there were several large eaves open, and "Don't go up". If you go up the mansion that is not covered with a sticker, you will be warned that "customers, the mansion is not open to the public." To be clear, paid 2 people ...
I visited during the spring release period. Spring release is from April 20th to May 6th. It is open to the public for only about two weeks in summer and autumn. Please note that the release time is until 15:00. The sports hall next door is a temporary parking lot. The garden is one of the Oishi Takegaku-style gardens, which were built in many Tsugaru regions. The rugged line of stones creates a unique landscape. We recommend a visit along with a tour of Kuroishi no Komise-dori.
