The only shrine with Emperor tenmu as the main enshrined deity
It is located along the old Tokaido, a shrine built with Emperor Tenmu as the main deity after Prince Oama (later Emperor Tenmu) stayed in Kuwana during the Jinshin Rebellion. The precincts are not large, but it is the only shrine with Emperor Tenmu as its main deity. In addition, the book of the inscription monument of the shrine is written by Sadataka Matsudaira, the lord of Kuwana domain at the end of the Edo period, making you feel the history. I think it's a good idea to stop by when you walk around the old Tokaido.
