Tried walking on the Nar Valley Way. Some parts were lovely but others lacked signage and were almost impassible through overgrowth and nettles. Long trousers are certainly recommended. The stretch from Narborough towards Castle Acre was particularly challenging and we had to abandon the route. More maintenance of the track would definitely help. The Nar is rather dull to walk along where recent excavation/dredging has been done (Setchey to Pentney for example), but this will improve over time as nature takes hold.Another problematic stretch was the circular walk via Wormegay up to Setchey. The path had totally grown over until you reached the river.Hoping the County Council can help to rectify these issues soon.
