A shrine with the emperor and empress of the 4 names that are related to Oita

    Original Text

At the foot of Ueno Hills in the south of Oita Station, it is now located on the Oita Chuo Main Road, which connects the overhead track of the Kudai Main Line and Sorin Ohashi Bridge. According to the shrine legend, Nohnao, the first head of the Otomo clan, was transferred from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu to his current location in the Edo period in 1196. There are several stone Buddhas, tumuli, and ruins of the mansion in the Ueno hills, including this shrine, and it seems that it is being maintained as a historical walkway. The main deity is Emperor Chuai, who has a connection with Oita, ...

It is a refreshing shrine in the city of Oita City, Oita Prefecture.

    Original Text

It is said that Yoshinao Otomo, the first head of the Otomo clan, separated Hachiman no Kami, the Ujigami of the Genji clan, from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The main deities are Obinakatsuhiko-mei (Emperor Chuai), Shinda Wake-mei (Emperor Ojin), Socho-Obihime-mei (Empress Jingu), and Ojaku-mei-mei (Emperor Nintoku). The bright vermilion shrine was wonderful. You can see a large votive tablet on the left and a large "Inu" letter on the right. It was an open and refreshing shrine with a wide 々. It seems that the festival on March 3rd is famous for a grand festival called the comb-shaped festival.

    Original Text

There is a large tree 々 in the precincts. The feature was that the guardian dog was unique and had a large eye. The guardian dog in front of the hall of worship is a guardian dog of Bizen ware and vermilion for some reason.

A shrine with a unique picture of the zodiac

    Original Text

I went out this year because I had all the pictures of the zodiac. The person who drew it is an elderly ink painter. Each picture of the zodiac is doing cute actions that cannot be hated. It's worth just looking at the picture.

    Summer Festival

    Original Text

It's a small festival, but there are food stalls, and you can enjoy the chicken and Kagura, so you can take a leisurely look. There aren't too many people, so that's good again!
