Nothing special
Entoku Temple is located just a few minutes’ walk from Izumiko Hiroba (Fountain Square). Among buildings, it is not noticeable, but I heard that the name of this temple is appeared in Rakugo, traditio...
I had plenty of time, so I decided to take a walk near Osaka Station to solve my lack of exercise and visited the temples. This is the first temple I visited at that time. I couldn't feel the tourist elements, but the main hall, which is trying to give it a temple-like feel on a limited site, left an impression on me.
A 7-8-minute walk east of JR Osaka Station, a temple of the Nichiren Honshu sect located just past Shin-Midosuji. The temple on the west side of Taiyuji Temple, Kitano Village around here, used to be a wetland with a lot of Hagi, and it seems that it was famous as a Hagi temple in Kitano. Now it is an ordinary temple without its remnants and is not a tourist temple.
Entonji is a temple on the west side of Taiyuji Temple (famous as the graveyard of Yododen) about a 10-minute walk from JR Osaka Station. It is a temple of the Nichiren sect located between buildings in the downtown area. I stopped by on the way back from visiting Taiyuji Temple in January. It's not a tourist temple, so I couldn't regret going inside. It is a characteristic square hall. This temple is the setting for the "Sagitori" of Kamigata Rakugo. This is a recommended spot for those who are interested in shrines, temples and rakugo.
The place is a little next to Daiyuji. It is undeniable that it is the shadow of Daiyuji Temple, but Entonji Temple seems to be a temple that appears in rakugo and is famous as a temple in Hagi. Such a temple that I thought was a temple in the town next to Daiyuji is also a historic temple. I feel that there are many temples like this in Osaka.
