#mustdo RipCord by iFly Deck 15 A paid activity to fly on SOTS overlooking Flow-Rider and sandwich between the sky above and sea below. This is an indoor sky fly wind tunnel which is similar to iFly at Sentosa. When you book for this activity, all safety gears are included and each instructor will be assigned to a small group of participants. The instructor will start off with a briefing and a demonstration before s/he brings you into the wind tunnel. So just follow his’her instructions and you get to fly for the next 60 seconds. You can get someone to take photos for you from the viewing area. There is also an official photographer who will be taking your photos too. #mustdo Solarium Deck 14 A solarium is like a greenhouse but for humans to sunbathe. I like it because I can get the sun and at the same time it is glass enclosed so I also have the air-conditioning.. Take note that this is an area for adults only so children are not allowed here. This also means less chances of having noise. There is 1 main pool and 2 smaller jacuzzi inside the Solarium. The lifeguards are on duty at all times so do not attempt to try anything funny. If you are at the Silver dining area, you can just right next to the Solarium. There is also a pool bar at the Solarium and you can buy/redeem drinks here. #mustdo Bionic Bar Deck 5 A robotics bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks served by robots. However, you do see staff coming once in a while to clean up the area but you cannot place order with the staff. There are ipads around the Bionic Bar and you will have to scan your cruise card and place your order. If you are on the cruise drinks packages then the drinks from Bionic Bar are included. Else, you will pay for the drinks on your last day of cruise. The prices are in USD and it is reasonablea. Just note that you will have to add on gratuity to the drinks prices. #mustdo Royal Theatre Deck 4 & 5 I was in suite class when I was on board the Spectrum of the Sea so I had priority for the seats in the Royal Theatre. However, having priority does not guarantee a good seat. So it is still advisable to come at least 30 mins before show time to get a better vantage point seat allocation. It is based on a first come first serve system. When you enter the theatre, be prepared to see that some seats are being reserved by the other passengers. So avoid all this unnecessary drama by coming early and ignore these inconsiderate passengers. The stage is on Deck 4 so try to sit closer to the stage for a clear view. If you are on Deck 5, you can take the first row to be nearer to the stage. The performances on SOTS are worth watching at least for the first time. #mustdo Seaplex Deck 15 A multi-purpose sports hall whereby you can play bumper-cars, basketballs, badmintions, yoga, dancing and so many more. The staff will re-organistate the Seaplex according to the schedule timetable planned for the cruise. You can find out this timetable on board or on cruise compass. A cruise compass is an information leaflet stating down on all facilities opening and closing hours and also activities of the day. It is important to know because some of the facilities are not open all day. It will also advise you on how to make reservations for certain activities at Seaplex. #mustdo Windjammer Deck 14 I wanted to try out the main dining area and Windjammer is always open throughout the day and night to cater to all hungry passengers. It is also a full buffet menu and you find your own seats. This also means that all passengers can enter Windjammer at all times during their opening hours. The buffet selection at Windjammer is huge and you can eat as much as you wish and as long as you wish. There will be no one to stop you from taking mre servings. I like the concept at Windjammer and the different cuisine served over here. If you walk towards to the end, you will see a Hot Pot restaurant which is payable. #mustdo Silver Dining Deck 14 At first, I did not notice this Silver Dining area which is just next to Solarium. So i went in to have dinner and had a shock of my life. The server recommended me to order their steak of the day and I gave it a try. It was delicious of course, but the portion was super big. During dinner, at Silver dining room, it is partly buffet and partly ala-cart order too. I was from the Sky Class so Silver dining is also included in my meal package. #mustdo Gold Dining Deck 16 Definitely a must-do when you are on board SOTS, get yourself at least a Golden Balcony room then you can access the Golden Dining room. You get a super front row seat at the front side of the cruise while dining. Be sure to take the seats along the window. The butler will serve you an ala-carte menu, unlimited ordering for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many selections on the menu and you can space the dishes out to try over a few days. Since the cruise is starting to have port calls, I also hear that there are daily specials at Gold Dining room.
